Red's Barber Shop — Local services in Houston

Been coming here for a while and I usually stick with the usual 1 against the grain. Sat in Ken's chair and I let him decide what to do with it. Ended up with a fresh wave cut with a smooth fade. Really impressed with the cut and professionalism and had a great conversation as well. I'm sure next time I'll be in the same chair.

Just some notes on Red's in general - there's not a whole lot of real estate considering its a downtown shop but its all used extremely well and any loose hair is being swept away frequently. All the barber's are super friendly....down to talk sports, work....or how to be the king of the jungle. Been working downtown Houston for about a year now and stop by Red's 1-2 times every month. Perfect cut EVERY time.

Left the place with a great haircut. The barber is definitely experienced and highly trained. However, I would really appreciate if the barber could be more friendly with the customers. When customers ask for a shorter haircut, barber often shows a passive negative attitude and tend to respond with a unfriendly remark. Moreover, if customers seem to be torn in deciding for a haircut style, barber should try to assist them in a friendly manner so that they can feel welcomed, instead of responding them aggressively (i.e....
