Silk Flower Emporium (Universal Silk Plant Corp.) — Local services in Houston

Amazing selection and a friendly staff that knows every single flower they have. They seem to price items off the top of their head though. It's more of a warehouse than a store so it's just boxes upon boxes of still packaged flowers. The first time I went a couple months ago nothing had prices marked so I didn't actually know how much I was spending until I was rung up. Today I went back and bought some of the same flowers. This time some of the boxes had prices in sharpies. I bought a bunch of babies breath that wasn't in it original box (the box said rosebuds) I was buying several so I kept them in the box they were in up to the register. She rung me up for the price on the box and I felt it was a bit high but figured she knew what she was doing. I get home and compare my previous receipt, and sure enough!! I was charged $1 more a piece (which adds up when you're buying several) this time than last for an identical item. If you go here ask for prices and if you return bring your old receipt so you don't get ripped off like I did!!

Great place! Very deceiving from the outside. It looks like a small store but when you go inside there is a huge warehouse with every flower and color imagineable. They also make their own artificial trees using real tree trunks. They look very real and are amazing. They also make flower arrangements in any color, theme, and size. The service was excellent. I knew exactly what I needed and was in and out in about 10 minutes because the lady knew right where to go to get to the flowers I was looking for. This will definitely be my only stop for artificial flowers...

It took me a minute because the Google maps doesn't have the correct location for the store. It is located right next the the place called Toyz. When you first walk into the store you are surrounded by gorgeous flower arrangements, but in the back you go into the warehouse. Pack your patience and have alot of time because their are so many types of flowers and greenery to see. The staff was very helpful with helping with finding what I needed and arrangements ideas. Would definitely recommend this place if you need...
