I tend to be pretty frugal when it comes to my manis/pedis, because even when I splurge I leave disappointed. I ended up not getting manis/pedis for a while out of sheer frustration for the prices for bad work. I hate when some places try waaaaay too hard to talk you out of regular polish, and into gel/shellac. I know the difference. I have my reasons. Let it go. I also don't like when I am paying more and you are adding something to old polish to try to make it work. Ooohhh, and when someone is pushing so hard to push your cuticles back that it dents your fingernail.
I am forever changed by my experience at Sofia Grace. My standards have been raised. I didn't have to worry about any of my dislikes. I splurged because I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and wanted my hands and feet to be perfect. I received exactly that.
Macel did an amazing job on my manicure. I am particular about my (natural/real) nails are an even length. If I break a nail, then cut the others. I always request this and am usually disappointed. Again, I was very happy with the work at Sofia Grace. She was so gentle and my manicure was perfection!
My pedicure - poor John. I had not had a pedicure in a WHILE (and I walk around barefoot). John had his work cut out for him. I cannot count how many times I commented on how John put in the work, but was also extremely gentle. He has THE SOFTEST HANDS!!! I swear the majority of the time it was as if I couldn't even feel him touching my feet.
I am very, VERY happy with my experience at Sofia Grace. (I'm going to try to do better with my...
Read moreUpdated review and picture: I came to get my nails done and right away they were chipping and by the third day all the tops of my nails had missing a Polish. It was like soft. I got them done and left town and couldn’t go back (picture taken from airport that day and sent to owner) I called and she said to send pictures so I did. When I came back and wanted to go back I called and she basically said she couldn’t help me. If I had gone the next day she would have done something. I was very disappointed how they handled this. I’ve been going here for years. It’s changed ownership and doesn’t have the same consistent service. If she had offered to give me a free manicure since the other was worthless then I’d still be a customer but her lack of caring caused me to change where I go.
This place is always consistent. I love Kimme and Maciel who’ve been here forever. They always do a stellar job. Just updated my review from several years ago. I have come here a few times this year and now feel it’s my nee nail salon. The nail techs are amazing! They’re friendly and super meticulous about cleanliness and the finished product. My nails look flawless each time. I’m so thankful it’s sooo convenient for me to get...
Read moreI'm bad about leaving reviews, but honestly this nail shop has become like family to me and my best friend (who drives from Spring, TX) to have monthly nail dates with me! TRUST. I'm picky with certain aspects of my nails and this is the first nail shop that has handled that professionally! Don't like see thru colors? They add an extra coat. Like sparkles? They add glitter. Don't like the color? Talk to Kim... she'll fix it! Power is out due to bad weather? THEY STILL FOUND A WAY TO DO MY NAILS! I look forward to coming here EVERY.SINGLE.MONTH! The ladies at this nail shop are golden! I promise this is not your average nail salon, they don't try to get you to buy expensive add-ons or talk amongst themselves avoiding you during your pampering. They are very fun and lively! I've been a returning customer now for over 8 months and it's been magical!!!!!! Please overlook any negative reviews (which are far and few, might i add) bc I can't possibly see how a beautiful place with such a great team and coffee/baked goods could ever be a bad thing. Kim if you are reading this, your place is a GEM. Thank you for taking Tiesha and I wayyyy back when the other nail shop messed up my nails. We've never...
