I am incredible happy with the service provided by Houston Jewelry Appraisal.

First, Mr. Miller was very responsive. Within an hour or so of requesting an appointment, I was called about scheduling it. Some places didn’t even respond to my requests. Second, he was very accommodating of my schedule. He provided an appraisal on Saturday. Not sure if he always does that or if I was an exception. But most other places only provide appraisals once a month at odd times of the afternoon. Third, his appraisal fee was more reasonable than the other places I contacted. Fourth, he does the appraisal and inspection in front of you. The item being appraised is a family heirloom and we did not want to leave it anywhere or out of sight. Fifth, he provides three copies of the appraisal report, paper, laminated and electronic.

The only “odd” thing was that he didn’t speak much. He was very cordial when we arrived, but once he started inspecting the item he was quiet and concentrating. Ronnie was very helpful! I bought jewelry from a reseller for a higher price than I should have, but when I received it, it was obvious that the earrings were not authentic. In order to receive a refund, I needed a 3rd party to verify that they were inauthentic. After calling so many jewelry appraisal places across two different cities who told me they were unavailable to help in the time frame that I would need it done in order to get the refund, I called Houston Jewelry Appraisal. Ronnie stayed with me on the phone and patiently listened to me explain my situation while also asking clarifying questions, and once he understood my situation, he made an appointment for me to come 2 days later. Come appointment time, he patiently worked for over an hour on the document, taking photos and really inspecting the details on my knock off purchase. I went home with the document in hand, submitted it to the reseller that same day, and just received my refund from the reseller. Thank you for the help!!! Folks, let me tell you about my adventure with Ron at Houston Jewelry Appraisal.
