The Thirsty Texan — Restaurant in Houston

I usually have a good experience here and love that it is very close to home. Tonight was a totally different experience.... My friend and I decided to stop in for a few drinks. It was early and the place was dead. We went to the bar to order drinks and a male bartender literally walked by me and made eye contact with me and continued walking by to serve another customer that had not been waiting as long as we had been. Then I realized there was a female bartender who was standing right next to us getting very cozy with some man who I think may be the manager. She actually sat there knowing we were waiting for a good ten minutes making out and then she decided to walk behind the bar and ask us what we wanted to drink! I was shocked.. I thought she was just another customer! I am very disappointed that one of my favorite bars has turned into this crap. I will not be back unless they get new management with better...

I have watched this bar change hands so many times I stopped learning the name of the place years ago. But the thirsty Texan has been around long enough for me to learn the names and I wanted to take a second to really give it credit for not only how they have cleaned up the place but the clientele is different and the bartenders are next level. I don’t drink so going into a bar is usually an expensive (I mean, let’s be real who wants to pay five dollars for a soda) loud obnoxious, and pretty boring event for me that I get roped into for events like birthdays, or such celebrations. The last couple of times I’ve been into the thirsty Texas. They have been just a blast. The music is good, there’s pizza next-door, and the bartenders are a lot of fun. There is a little outdoor patio in the back in case you need to have a conversation where you want to hear yourself or someone else. Overall, I gotta give this place...

Don't go here. I remember being here a while ago when it was under different management that was fine but now its just soooooo trashy. Yet another bar who over serves people, even the bartenders drink. Last time I went is was super dead, only one bartender in the front who would casually show up but than return to the back. Most of the time there was NO ONE manning the front. In the back you could find a few more people along with the owner who was completely trashed, so unprofessional. Don't go here, along with its unprofessionalism its over priced, no one seems attends to you unless you're a friend or something and if you do order food good luck on it coming out in an reasonable...
