I was a guest in the spa at the Laura Hotel yesterday, 5/11 for Mother’s Day, and my experience was extremely underwhelming. My fiancé got me an 80 minute massage with hot stones that cost $300, and it was 100% not worth it. I had a male provider (I cannot remember his name) and the entire massage just felt like I was getting lathered in massage oil, an excessive amount, not actually getting a massage with learned technique. I asked for more pressure twice, it was not maintained, it did not feel good, and besides my back, all other areas felt rushed and I left feeling extremely oily, not relaxed and not rejuvenated at all. On top of that, this spa has no amenities besides access to the pool, and in my opinion when I go to a spa, I enjoy not only the service, but also spa amenities such as a steam room, sauna, showers, area to change, etc. this spa offers none of that. I guess if you happen to be staying at the hotel and want a sub par, overly priced massage, then this would be fine for you. But if you want your moneys worth and a massage that actually feels good along with some kind of amenities, don’t waste your time coming here. There’s plenty of other wonderful spas in Houston for the same price with better massage therapists and amenities to enhance your spa experience (speaking from experience). I gave two stars only because the woman at the front desk of the spa was nice and accommodating and the...
Read moreCarmen is an absolute magician with her hands! I’ve come to the Laura Spa twice now and had the pleasure of having Carmen work out my tension. I’ve been also dealing with a sciatic nerve issue and she’s been the only one to help me work that out to a point where I left feeling relief! She is thorough and I love that she asks about specific areas and the pressure points. The Laura spa is a cute and quaint sized spa which is perfect for quiet and relaxing service. I’ll be back to see Carmen...
Read moreI got a massage from Carmen and it was 10/10 service! She was so kind and able to reach all of my problem areas wonderfully. Only reason I give 4 stars is just for the size of the facility. It is a bit smaller and there are no amenities to give you such as a robe or slippers. But I was able to get a 10% off code and the staff is very kind. If you’re staying at the Laura and don’t have any other spa places in mind I’d definitely...
