Sent 2 packages using their drive thru dropbox because it was raining. Both packages still show up as not shipped after 16 days. I called USPS and they said to go in and talk to the location in person. I went in and the lady said "We're not holding onto your package, all packages are sent out the same day". I mentioned what day I dropped it off and she started talking about how the drive thru box was "compromised" recently but then quickly stopped. Then she told me since I shipped with First Class, there's no insurance on my packages and my best bet is to just wait to see if it shows up in their system. What the actual heck? If your dropbox was compromised, why should it matter if I have insurance? I literally have my Google timeline showing me going to the dropbox, and I've sent at least 500 packages in the last 2 years with USPS. I asked who I speak to if it doesn't show up, and she said there's no one else that I can speak to. After all this, I go outside and they've removed the drive thru dropbox (See attached photo). So obviously something fishy is going on. Not saying this location is bad (even through they only had 1 person working today so I waited 30+ minutes to be seen, and the line went from the desk almost all the way out the main door), but definitely don't use the drive thru dropbox if they bring it back. There were also 2 people who came in with appointments for passports, and they were told that mailing customers are always first, and the 2 people would need to wait about an hour until she had time to work with them (even though they had appointments that took them almost a month to make). She told them that if they don't want to wait, they can go to the public library which takes walk-ins. The lady was nice but this place needs to hire more staff during peak times. It's unbelievable that USPS is planning on closing some locations, they increased price twice in the last few months, and they announced that all mail will now take longer to send in an effort to save money. I've been shipping more with UPS now because with the new holiday rates, they end up being cheaper AND faster.

The passport renewal process was an absolute nightmare, despite having my photos and payment sorted. I walk into the post office, ask for the renewal form, and get hit with a wave of attitude from the clerk-like I’m inconveniencing them by existing . Then, after painstakingly filling out the form, I ask a simple question to confirm I did it right, and the staff acts like I’m asking for their firstborn child-eye rolls, curt answers, the works. The form itself? A confusing mess with tiny print and vague instructions that practically beg for mistakes. Submitting it felt like throwing my application into a bureaucratic black hole, with zero reassurance it’d even be processed correctly. Not only that she didn't even tell me the address that I'm supposed to mail it to. She just told me to give her the documentation in an envelope. I'm thinking I'm the best customer they could have all the work was already done. It's just really upsets me that like if you don't like your job, don't work if you don't like your job What are you doing at a place that you serve the community? You would think that these people do not get paid by how upset they are. Someone really needs to investigate this place but I just don't know what it is every time I go to a USPS office. The people have so much attitude.

This location WILL NOT give acceptance receipts to you. They make you use the self-service kiosk, but even then, it's up to the USPS employees to actually process the mail. I'm constantly having to file a Missing Mail Search Request just to get my packages moving. Here's an example: I dropped off a package on July 23rd and the tracking showed "Pre-transit" even on July 25th. I submitted a Missing Mail request online the morning of July 25th, and suddenly in the afternoon, it's been "accepted"/scanned in. This is really frustrating as a small business owner. In February 2024, only 2 out of 15 packages arrived on time. The rest show a tracking status of "pre-transit" for an unknown amount of time. I ended up having to ship free replacement orders or offer full refunds without being able to get my products back. The employees who work here are either really sweet or really apathetic. They close earlier than 5:30pm OFTEN. The earliest I've found the doors locked was 5:21pm, when they're supposed to close at 5:30pm.

ONE STAR IS TOO MANY! The 2 employees I encountered were very polite. Considering they make TWICE the $$ I make I'd hope they always are. Problem is I've mailed 3 packages in the past 3 months from this PO and two did not make it. 1: was dropped at the counter, tracking barcode was never scanned, package never arrived at destination, package was never returned to me. 2: Package with tracking # was dropped off, not scanned until DALLAS at main postal hub. Was delivered. Considered it a VICTORY. 3. Dropped off package on March 11th. As of March 22nd it STILL has not been scanned, delivered to destination address, or returned to me. Asked to speak to manager, he never came to the window. Assured everything was scanned if it arrive there. Totally not the case...

After speaking to a former employee of USPS he told me postal employees often open packages to see if it is ANYTHING THEY WOULD LIKE TO KEEP. I advise anyone who is shipping ANYTHING to NOT use USPS.

I have had a great deal of shipping success with Parcel Plus on Louetta in Cypress. NEVER has a package gone missing. Professional, courteous, prompt. Never again will I use the Timmons post office, even though I have been there on...
