I’m disappointed and upset with my experience at Forefront Dermatology. My biggest frustration is the lack of communication, lack of assistance, and lack of information/education I have received since starting care there. I am receiving care for a psoriasis flare up. I was prescribed a medication that was denied by insurance. I called to ask if there was another medication I could take (out of a list of approved medications). I was told I’d get a follow-up call and they never called. The only reason I figured out that the new prescription was ordered was because of a letter from my insurance company. I never received a call from Forefront informing me of the new prescription. Then, I had to call again to ask how to get my prescription because it wasn’t able to be filled at the local pharmacy. I had a 3 minute call with a nurse who told me the name of a specialty pharmacy I’d need to contact (again, news to me and would have been nice to get a phone call from Forefront with this information). There are a lot more steps in this process that were not communicated to me and where I received no information, but I’ll move on to administering the medication. I called (again) to ask about scheduling a nurse visit to learn how to give myself injections of the medication I received. It was another 3 minute conversation where I was told to find YouTube videos rather than a nurse at the dermatology clinic helping me. Thankfully, the company that makes the drug I’m taking has been 100% more supportive than Forefront. I don’t think this is how it...
Read moreI went to the Hudson office and experienced the same issues as other people. Lack of response, no follow through. The appointment was fine (even though they were behind and rushed me) But I have three main issues.... 1: They prescribed me medication one bounced back and the second was way too expensive ($120) no big, so i asked them to prescribe something different. No call or anything took 2 days. Had to find out from Walgreens that they finally sent something in, and the new meds were still expensive (60 and 90) 2: Fast forward a couple weeks, I slowly started to develop an allergic reaction (large rash on my neck) to the $90 meds, called Friday at 830 am and received no response. I had to call the NR clinic the following Monday to get any answers on what to do (hudson is closed on monday) 3: After I was finally able to talk to a nurse they explained to me the doctor made a note Friday at 4:30pm to stop using the meds because I was having a reaction, again no call. After the call my guess is the nurse must have talked to the doctor because shortly after I got a notification for new meds via walgreens. But here's the kicker! the new medication is only 20$ compared to the $90 I paid for the rash inducing one. Why wouldn't they prescribe me cheaper one first when I specifically asked for a less expensive one.
I honestly wouldn't have left a review but finding out I could have paid 20 instead of 90 was...
Read moreChecking in was a very satisfactory experience. During the exam, I was a little disappointed that more questions were not asked about the rash I had, and no information was given for the reason the rash might’ve happened. I thought more questions would’ve been asked about why I was there. Or explained to me why that rash occurred. Also, I don’t feel that the treatment I had done was very well explained concerning healing and resulting appearance of the area that was treated. I was told I would have a “scab” that would go away in a few days. No scab has appeared, only a large oval shaped dark red area on the side of my nose. I have been putting the ointment on that I was told to do. It doesn’t look like this is going away any time soon. I was asked if I wanted to do this so close to Easter, but I replied that I would be with my family so that should not be a problem. But I was also told it would be gone in a few days. And because I was told it was pre-cancerous, and I had no idea when I could get in again, I thought I should do it at that time. Overall, everyone was...
