Wow, where do I even start⊠Back in 2019 I was at one of the lowest places that Iâve ever been. My health wasnât good and when I say health I mean my physical health, my emotional health, and my mental health.
What brought all of this on was a toxic job situation in dentistry. Me being the peacemaker that I am, I developed emotional trauma or PTSD because I didnât know how to process what was happening to me. In the process of finding out that I had that going on, I also started to have bite issues. I was clenching a lot, I would wake up with jaw soreness, and that was only the physical manifestations of my emotional health.
Thank God I was led to a Functional Doctor in Greensboro, NC and my life started to change. One of the things you have to look at from a functional perspective is the mouth because it is the beginning of the digestive tract and anything compromising oral health can also compromise the rest of the body, not only physically, but mentally or emotionally as well.
I was then recommended to go to a Holistic Dentist to check for cavitations, etc. which then recommended I see Dr. Matt at Lineberger Orthodontics in Charlotte, NC.
The very first appointment I had at Lineberger, they made me feel welcome, they made me feel encouraged, and they quieted so many fears that I had. The first time I went there, Dr. Matt wasnât there because he had a few days old baby at home that his wife had just given birth to as well as three other children he was caring for.
What I absolutely loved and respected about him was the fact that even though he had a new patient coming in that day, he was at home helping to care for his family and that spoke volumes to me. Another thing that really spoke to me was the fact that he was on the phone with the ladies I was meeting with at the same time so he could make sure I was being taken care of.
I remember thinking after that appointment that I could not wait to meet him at my next visit. Since that very first visit in August 2019 he has continued to be welcoming, fun, hilarious, energetic, always happy to see me and a very passionate orthodontist that has put so much work and effort into my mouth, specifically me fighting bite issues, and along the way him telling me and reassuring me that we would figure it out and not to worry.
In the beginning of this journey when all I did was worry because I was trying to figure out my own health, he was a bright light in my darkness. The last issue I had was a retainer issue that I actually went today and got scanned for, he again reassured me and said we are going to figure this out. Me being where I am now in my healing journey, I had no anxiety about it and I havenât worried about it. I totally felt at peace when he said those words.
If you are looking for an orthodontist to not only care about your teeth but care about you and how youâre feeling as well, go see Dr. Matt at Lineberger Orthodontics. You will not be disappointed and you will leave there feeling better than you did when you walked in. They will care for you, they will reassure you, and they will make you feel like you are their only patient. These are all the reasons why I make a three hour round-trip to their office every visit. It is 100% worth your time and money!
Sincerely, a very...
Read moreTo Dr. Matt Linebeger, I am currently a college student and proud member of the smile fam at one of your office locations. I am writing you today to let you know the impact that you have had on my quality of life. Going through grade school I suffered with insecurities far and wide but my main concern was my smile. Throughout high school I was afraid to smile because of a few slight crooked teeth here and there and a major over bite AND cross bite. My health insurance did not include dental coverage and my family could not afford a dental plan. When I came to college at UNC-Charlotte, I learned about Invisalign treatment through an ad online. I searched for dental offices in Charlotte, North Carolina who offered this amazing treatment and your office came up. I looked thoroughly threw your website nervous that I was getting ahead of myself and I would never be able to afford a treatment like this. I thought âwho cares its worth a shotâ so I scheduled an appointment. I quickly learned how caring of a Doctor you are and how willing your staff is to help someone like me who was just a college student who never thought I would be able to smile and be proud and happy about my smile. It was important for me to write this letter to you and your staff at Lineberger Orthodontics because you have all been a huge part of my life and my smile journey. I am currently on my 11th tray in my second 30-week set and even though my journey is not over yet, I have never been more proud to just walk around my campus and smile. Being about to smile and not have to worry about hiding your teeth or your very narrow looking arch, is something that has improved my happiness and quality of life. Now that I have seen the amazing difference in my teeth (thanks to your office), I smile at EVERYONE even if they donât want me to. When people think of dentist and orthodontist they shriek and get scared or say they HATE these specialties, but I ALWAYS look forward to my appointments and jump at the earliest opportunity I have to come into the office and get a smile checkup. People do not realize how important teeth health is and how a few messed up teeth can affect your happiness and confidence. Since I started coming to Lineberger Orthodontics, I have felt nothing but confidence in myself and my BEAUTIFUL teeth. A few months ago I would not have been able to say that but through your comments on my Instagram pictures about my pearly whites, comments from my friends, the visible results, and the continuous support from your team, I have been able to turn THIS frown upside down and start to enjoy my smile. SoâŠ.Thank you for all that you do and will continue to do for me and your other patients who need little help and magic (Invisalign) to start smiling again. 10/10 would recommend Lineberger Orthodontics to ANYONE...
Read moreWe are just starting in on my son's (8 year old) braces and while the staff are nice and the location is great the braces have not been so far. After he got his braces on we were leaving and he broke off his bite plate (I think that's the term) before we left the parking lot. Went back in and they fixed it. Then 3 hours later he called home from school and said he broke a bracket. We called the office and they wouldn't fix it that day and wanted us to come in a week later. We frustratingly took the appointment. Well, when he got home I took a look at the bracket and it was the very back one so the wire was irritating him. I called back in and requested they get him back in immediately. They got him in am hour later and apparently 3 brackets had come loose! Got him all fixed up and 24 hours later another bracket came off. Just to note he has been eating soup for 2 days as his teeth are hurting. This new broken bracket is in the front so we are just going to have him back in next Wednesday. My bigger concern in all of this is the quality of workmanship. 4 brackets and a bite plate within 2 days is rediculous. I sure hope things get better and I'll update my review accordingly.
Well, we met with the manager and the orthodontists and worked through it. The issues were resolved quickly and professionally. My son also has a pretty bad cross bite which complicates things even worse. Time will tell but their team has been very...
