3 ish harsh, it's more like a 3.75, but it definitely wasn't a four star which is sad because this restaurant has so much potential. This is a want to be upscale restaurant with food that doesn't quite hit the mark.

This restaurant has a dress code. Proper "date night" attire is required, but I think they're lenient on what's considered date night. It's not formal but not sweatpants casual.

The restaurant and atmosphere are clean, inviting, and upscale. It is comfortable and I appreciate the small details like candles on the table. There are many types of table water to choose from as well.

The service is impeccable. The service is probably the best thing about the entire restaurant. Our server Laurie was knowledgeable of the menu, gave fantastic recommendations, was easy to talk to, and efficient. She timed our meals nicely that left a small break in between for chatting to my date.

We both got a cocktail and they were great. The love lake with gin was amazing. Very refreshing and compliments a heavy meal. My date got the cranberry mule. Equally as good.

The food is where I was disappointed and confused. Everything about the restaurant was setup for the food to be flawless. The price point on the menu reflects food that is thoughtful, flavorful, executed perfectly and consistently. Unfortunately this is where the let down was for me. The ceviche was meh. It has alright flavor, but there are a ton of vegetables in it. It comes with chips and lettuce wraps. Where is the refinement for a $16 app? It felt like a "use up the leftovers" kind of dish.

The lobster bisque was great. Big chunks of lobster and the server told us they make the soup from scratch. The flavor is excellent. I enjoyed the bread it comes with. The lobster bisque was the best dish we had.

My date ordered a dry aged steak. She asked for it medium rare and it came out well done. Disappointing because of the price point. The steak had great flavor and was seasoned well though. Mashed potatoes were really good. Soft, fluffy, flavorful.

The weekly special was a soft shell crab. In theory it sounded good, but in execution was lacking. Tempura fried soft shell crab but it got soggy because of the sauce on it. There's too many vegetables underneath it. Under seasoned green beans, carrots, and slaw. The knife work was sloppy.. all kinds of sizes going on the plate. I ask again where the refinement, technique, and restraint are that come with paying $40 for a plate.

We ended the meal with the house made donuts. They were good. The portion was really large, 5 full size donuts. The sauces that accompany it were good. Seems like a bit much but I appreciate the large size.

I left feeling like I somehow ordered all the wrong things on the menu. I want to give this place another try and try the other dishes, but at what cost? $225.. and it might not even be...

My son made reservations here for Fathers Day 2022 a few days ago. FYI, it was required to have a Credit Card with the reservation. The fine line was that we would be charged $15/person for a no show. We arrived at the restaurant about 20-minutes early, so we sat In the car and waited for our reservation time. About 5-minutes later, we got a text that our table was ready and to let them know that we were in route. Since, we were already here, there was no need. We were welcomed warmly and immediately directed to our seat which was a three person table in the bar. They placed us right under a vent and it got cold fast. My fiancé was really cold and the air was so powerful that it was moving the light above our table. We had to ask twice to have the air turned down as the manger said that the switches were incorrectly labeled. Once the cold air was reduced, we were finally comfortable. My son and I ordered drinks, but they were just OK. My sons second drink was much better to the point that he ordered w third drink later in the meal. We had appetizers of Ceviche for my fiancé and Pork Gyoza Dumplings for my son and I. My fiancé said that the Ceviche was just OK as it was nothing special. The Gyoza was about the same. I am not sure if we would ever reorder either of these when we return. However, we did watch a lot of other appetizers come out of the kitchen and we think that we have alternatives to try. The menu was pretty robust and cost effective as long as you do not order the steaks. Steaks were around $50 plus. Without drinks or appetizers, we were around $20 to $25 per person which is not too bad for an upscale restaurant. My son ordered chicken and waffles which we all tried and really enjoyed. I had the Cajun Chicken Pasta which we all agreed was the best meal at the table. My fiancé had the impossible burger which was good for a burger, however the chicken and waffles was much, much better. My son also ordered the Shared Appetizer of Truffles Garlic Fries as it only would have cost a few dollars more than the side of fries. The ruffle garlic fries were just delicious and not too bad at $10. Since we had a total of four drinks, we decide to forgo the desserts. All-in-all, the ambiance, food, hostess, management, and servers were all great. It was definitely a positive experience for everyone. It would have been a five star review if only the other appetizers were as good as the Truffle Garlic Fries. We will definitely be going back next time to just enjoy the food without all the drinks to help keep the costs down as four drinks totaled $60. Other than that, we can keep the bill between $60 to $80 for...

We went for a moms and daughters Christmas brunch yesterday. I was unable to make a reservation for more than 6 people online so I had to call. The person I talked to was very snooty, and had this just been for my family, I would have said never mind and found another place I was so turned off by her attitude. She explained the dress code to make sure I understood so we “didnt have a problem with our service”, and required a credit card just to make a reservation. Mind you if your plans changed within 24 hours of your reservations or someone in your party didnt show, you would be charged $5 per person. It didnt give me a good vibe.

We all dressed accordingly. We arrived a few minutes before they opened and we were told they didnt open until 10:30 and we would have to wait. I said, “but we have a reservation at 10”? Someone else came over and corrected them about opening time and we did get seated soon. It did appear they were not ready for their opening time based on workers scrambling around and not having anyone come to our table for 10 minutes (most of our party was there by 10, but not all). During our brunch, the food came, and four of our girls ordered waffles, and they all said they werent good. I dont know how you mess up a waffles and honestly didnt believe them at first, but I and another mom at the table tried them - they were undercooked and had no real flavor. My omlet was brown on the inside and had a burnt skillet taste, and one of my shrimp was not fully cooked. It was also very salty. Another mom at the table shared that her lobster bisque was very salty. It also took forever to get the food and then for the check to come. Water/drink refills occurred once in the two hours we were there.

The place itself has a great atmosphere and the food was presented well, and our waitress was kind. Food was terrible, will never go back. Dont...
