I had an excellent experience at this Waterbean! I've always loved the atmosphere. Perfect coffee house ambiance with nice music and plenty of places to sit. The parking lot is plentiful. My girlfriend and I split three lattes off the seasonal menu. The thin mint, Irish cream, and cinnamon roll. Each one of them was nicely balanced and not too sweet. Perfect latte foam and even nice art to go with it. The foam lasted for hours! We also both got food. I recommend the ribeye melt it is pure flavor town. The lox bagel has a generous amount of lox on it. Our only nitpicking critique is to chop the onions a little finer. That would shoot it over the moon. It was moderately busy when we came in and we got our drinks and food quickly. I would definitely come back!

Water Bean Coffee Cafe offers a cozy escape with its inviting atmosphere for people and cowork . The cappuccino was expertly crafted, boasting a rich, bold flavor that provided the perfect morning pick-me-up. Paired with the delicate sweetness of their macaroons, but not that great. The macaroons were not fresh and flavoured like frozen, with a satisfyingly chewy texture that complemented the creamy cappuccino. Overall, this Water Bean Coffee Cafe particularly is a one time -visit 🙂‍↕️.

Fancy coffee is not my normal thing. However we were out shopping and passing by so went in to give it a try. No disappointments. Server/barista was EXCELLENT. Explaining everything with great detail and precision. Had a machiatto (spelling) coffee with a lemon and blueberry scone. The coffee was smooth tasty and warm However it did cool very quickly. The scone was unimpressive. Almost tasteless and dry. Not really my thing. Store was exceptionally clean and full of customers.

My one star overall relates to the owner. My five stars for service relates to the staff. As a Waterbean Coffee customer since 2016, I'm one of many (approx 15% of the Huntersville store) longtime customers on the cusp of finding another business to patronize. The owner, Tony, has made the unwise decision to, not only refuse to keep his loose leaf tea stock in supply, but he's also chosen to ignore the countless emails, Facebook messages (he removed a message from another longtime Waterbean customer, and he will likely remove this comment) and in-person questions his AMAZING staff has had to deal with... all because he doesn't understand that loyalists have built his business and financed his multiple locations in the greater CLT area. The Hunterville location is now down to just ONE black tea (and this has been the case for weeks) and the staff are unable to tell customers if or when teas will ever be reordered. If Tony can afford to lose 15% of his Huntersville business, this complaint is likely to fall on deaf ears. But, we're in a time of responsible and responsive business ownership. You will lose what we helped you build if you insist on disrespecting our loyalty. We kept Waterbean alive during Covid. We packed all locations when a police officer's life was taken and his family needed money (which Waterbean donated from one day's sales). We've tolerated price increases, rental fees for the conference room spaces and DISCONTINUING the discount loyalty program (‼️). That's what loyalists do. And what thanks do we get for our loyalty? No supply for the tea demand and forcing Waterbean staff to deal with endless questions about when tea will be restocked. I understand P&L. I also understand that opening multiple mostly-empty stores all over CLT shouldn't create a penalty for Huntersville store lifers. I've spent thousands of dollars supporting this small business. Stock the tea, Tony. And, if you're a customer with a favorite Waterbean drink, be forewarned: Your hard-earned money spent supporting Tony's business could be off the menu if he can squeeze another drop out of a penny. Get yourself together, Tony. Loyalty is not guaranteed and ignoring your revenue base is a catastrophic business...

I’ve been to this shop several times. About 10 times approximately. I particularly enjoy the pour overs. I get pour overs ever time. Sometimes regular size sometimes the 16oz. Today was no different. However, much to my surprise when the barista handed me my to go cup today it felt a bit on the light side. When I opened the cup, I see that she’s handed me half a cup of coffee. I asked her AND the other barista on shift why this was and they both stated that that’s what a pour over is. I explained that the many other times I’ve ordered this drink it’s never a half a cup of coffee. The response “I don’t know what happened those other times, but that’s what a pour over is.” (To be fair, they weren’t rude, just clueless) Uuummmm, no, this it’s what a pour over is. I dropped the issue cause frankly, they were clueless, no point in continuing a conversation that was going nowhere. But where it SHOULD have gone was the baristas doing anything within their power to figure out what went wrong. And also, my pour over tasted watered down 🤯 A watered down, half a cup of coffee....

So now I’m wondering, am I going to have to go back to Starbucks for my pour over wants? I prefer Waterbean. But mostly I prefer CONSISTENCY. I hope whoever manages this place sees this review. The two baristas that were on shift today would probably work better with more experienced baristas, because together they are a clueless situation.

I’ll go back to Waterbean. Hopefully I won’t encounter this...

Hi, the barista I had messed up my order and laughed at me when I nicely asked about it. I am at Waterbean on Sam Furr road in Hunterville and I ordered a mango boba blended with popping boba inside. I order this same drink every time and usually get the same thing every time. Today Wednesday november 3rd at 3:55 pm I ordered the same thing I have every time and instead of it being orange like it has been every time I order it, the drink was brown. I asked the younger barista with brown hair if it was mango flavor and she said “yes, that's what you wanted right?” And I said yes and took a sip and it tasted nothing like mango was creamy instead of sweet like normal. I went back and said hi sorry to bother you i'm not sure if this is mango and she said “no it is mango, I made it” and I decided I'd rather not fight her about it. What caused me to really write this is that she was talking to two of her friends who were studying at the high top the entire time I was ordering, and while I walked away the 2nd time she said to her friend “Wow, didn't know you worked here” and laughed at me. This is the first time I've had a bad time at water bean and that was completely uncalled for especially when I have ordered this drink almost 100 times and never had it be brown. This is extremely disrespectful of her especially after I added a nice tip to my order for her. The website only allows for 80 characters in the comments so I decided to...
