So before I start this, let me say that I have numerous tattoos ranging from small and simple to complex and colorful. I have been tattooed and pierced all over the country. Friends are artists, I am a artist (not tattoo) by trade so I understand a lot of the dynamics in this business. That being said, Freddy is great. Love his personality but the whole process felt rushed and I knew going into the shop I wasnāt 100% but Iām a hopeful person so I gave benefit of the doubt.
Long story short it was my birthday and his wifeās birthday. He closed early to celebrate with his wife (totally understandable). When I talked to him, I said I was in town on a trip from WA blah blah and always get tattoos when traveling. So he said heād squeeze me in. Sweet. Granted I didnāt have a super clear design going in but had been chewing on an idea for months to fill a gap in my sleeve. I asked if he had a book of flash, he didnāt. Fine. I got three small molar teeth in a spot to fill a gap and the whole tattoo from start to finish took 20ish minutes. The tattoo itself is great, but the experience is why Iām only giving three stars.
The tattoo felt rushed, at one point i felt belittled that I wanted to just get some molars, and then after all of this, he charged $100? Iām not one to argue with tattoo artists on prices at all but knowing I can get way more for about the same at other shops in the area is frustrating.
Iām a tourist. he has a shop near a popular national park. Heās the only tattoo artist close to said Park. Upcharged for sure. ESP when the website says $30 shop minimum??? (Not saying my tattoo was a shop minimum because who am I to judge) but $100 for three small molar teeth that took about 40 min from set up to wrap up? You be the judge.
Overall, like the tattoo, not wild about the experience. Sucks but it is what it is and every tattoo...

I called a few hours prior to my visit to see if they could help me switch out my nose piercing and they said no problem so of course I expected a professional to help me. I drove 45 minutes from Saint George only to be given to someone who had NO IDEA what she was doing. I gave her my own personal stud to switch for my ring and because she didnāt know how the stud worked she just tried shoving it through the peircing hole which was way to small! It hurt so bad that I passed out in the chair and had to lay on the floor until I felt ok enough for her to try again. š£ The young lady did her best but she really needs to be trained because it seriously was the most horrible and painful experience Iāve ever had. I had my original peircing done professionally so I didnāt know how the studs worked and that is the exact reason why I called prior and chose to go to a shop because I figured a Tattoo and Piercing shop would have the proper knowledge. Please please please train your employees for all types of peircings so this doesnāt happen to anyone else! I left in tears and my nose is still very swollen and red. Iām so...

I was double charged for my transaction and after calling his store two days later he said if Iād make the drive back he would just give me cash. Unfortunately after the making the 50 minuet round trip he changed his mind. He said to wait and see if his merchant would refund me because he showed it as being voided. After a week I called back and explained I had not been refunded. Freddy told his employee that I would have to drive back to the shop if I wanted my money back. Once I declined making the trip again he told her unless I knew how to do a refund he wasnāt going to do anything. I donāt understand as a customer why it would be my responsibility to know how to work his merchant system when heās the owner. I was finally able to file a dispute with Discover and Iām still waiting for a refund. Their work was fine maybe just use cash or go somewhere else that knows how to work...
