I'm very familiar with retail, as I've worked at multiple companies during peak season including THIS Lane Bryant location. I give a LOT of grace and understanding when it comes to how busy employees and managers are and how much stress they're under during the holiday season.
That being said, I came in this evening (Black Friday) and not one employee greeted anyone walking in, including me. There was a line (to be expected), and everyone in line seemed frustrated.
I had to stand directly next to the register and the manager finally asked if I needed help. I told her I needed a fitting, and when she measured much larger, I told her, "That's not correct. I usually measure way bigger than what I am." She said, "Well, you're bigger in the back, so that makes sense." Rude. I didn't ask for her opinion on my body. I come to LB to NOT have my body commented on.
After trying on a couple bras, I waited for a while and no one came to check on me (even though Sylvia said she would), but she and another employee checked on other customers. I got dressed and went to find an employee to get me a different bra. Again, no one checked back on me, but others customers.
I left the store and will be going to a different store that's in the mall.
Overall, this location has gone WAY downhill and has for years. I was humiliated and even while trying to catch flies with honey, I was ignored and shamed.
I will absolutely NOT be buying from this store and won't miss this...
Read moreI went into this Lane Bryant looking to buy bras. I was immediately greeted by a sales person. I told her what I was looking for such as size and style of bra that I was looking for. I never even had the chance to look around on my own before she bombarded me with ugly bras that were the complete opposite of the styles I told her. How hard is it to understand solid black bra, plunging style? Apparently, for her very difficult. I was brought several bras with floral prints, most of which were ugly prints and none were black or a plunge. I told her these were not what I was looking for and reiterated what I was. I started to tell her I would just look on my own for a bit, but was interrupted when she told me she would find what I was looking for and ushered me back into the dressing room. She came back again with a solid white, an ivory and another floral print, none were a plunge. I sent them back and she came back with more. Still no black, but she did have a plunge. At this point I became frustrated with her pushiness and that she kept giving me the opposite of what I told her I wanted. I told her she obviously doesn't have what I'm looking for as I made my way out of the dressing room. She said she would look again. Thank you, but no, I have wasted enough time. I went across the street to Torrid where I easily found...
Read morea bra was purchased for me 6 months ago and has fallen apart. typically, these last about a year but this one ripped apart in the middle. I was fitted in store and I didnt feel like the sizing was correct, but I figured she knew more than I did. I had lost 90lbs and so I figured a smaller size was needed. I have contacted customer service through website and after 3 mos of back and forth, was basically told they domt care because I didnt have the receipt after 6 mos. these expensive bras should last more than 6 mos... you would think the price you pay for them they would be better quality. I've been only purchasing from LB for 15 years and have never experienced this. so at this point, I won't continue wasting my money here. I, too, shop torrid. I got 3 bras for what I pay for 1 here, and they have...
