The city government owns parking lots in the city. I don't mean just the meter ones by the car out on the street. I am talking about the ones behind the restaurant. It is okay that you don't see a sign. It is okay that you don't get the first notice. They will make sure you get the next notice when it is up to $100.00 Then when you pay it, you get a convenience fee of $5.00. There was no sign and no one there to let people know where to pay and it is not the city's problem. I pass through Idaho Springs alot. I hope they enjoy they enjoy scamming me out of $105.00 because I will never go back into any business that is in Idaho Springs or even near Idaho Springs. There are to many respectable business in other cities like Georgetown Colorado Georgetown Colorado might not be busting out the bank with wealth, but at least they do business the honest way, they earn it.
Please do not be concerned, I left Beau Jo's Pizza a review they will...
Read moreHere's another tragedy.... First why is there a senior citizen walking around with a sign that says 15mph. Haven't you gave out enough ludicrous and redundant tickets to pay for a sign? Second why is a male judge coming out the ladies room? Also when charged with any crime you have a right to a lawyer. Also there is ways to dispute bogus tickets...... I do and win. And a prosecutor is a state employee not a city employee so unfortunately your a simple city attorney. Oh and don't beat them as soon as they see you gonna win they dismiss with prejudice. Sore losers? And who measures to see if you've parked close enough to curb? Someone who has no life pretty much. Also most locals don't wanna pay your gas bill for driving your cars home.... hmmmm. That's why they use credit cards at the pumps don't want you to know how much they waste.

Luckily, unlimited some seniors I know, we have a smart phone, the only way to pay. Before it told us how much it would cost, we had to choose how long we would be there. We might have stayed longer, but since it didn't give a price we chose just one to two hours. We were shocked to see the cost was over $10 to park on the street! We left and went to Evergreen. I'm so sorry for the shop and restaurant owners in this cute, historic town. We...
