The Frothy Cup is a warm and welcoming café in the heart of the old town. The rustic ambiance, with its wooden interiors and cozy seating, creates a comfortable space to relax. A unique touch is the opportunity to leave behind written memories, adding a personal and charming element to the experience.

The café mocha is well-crafted, with a smooth balance of coffee and chocolate flavors. The homemade cheese Danish-like pastry is fresh and flavorful, with a nice texture that pairs well with a warm drink. It’s evident that a lot of care goes into their baked goods.

A standout feature is the roastery at the back of the café, where visitors can see the roasting process firsthand. The roasting machine is on display, adding an interesting element to the space and filling the air with the rich aroma of freshly roasted coffee.

The café is well-kept, with clean restrooms, and the entrance conveniently faces south. It is also wheelchair accessible, making it easy for everyone to enjoy the space. The staff is friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere and offering great recommendations.

Whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink or taking your time to enjoy the atmosphere, The Frothy Cup is a place I would recommend and visit...

A warm welcome to and from the Mountains! Driving through Idaho Springs, CO on our way to the Mt. Evans scenic highway, you will find numerous vintage and historical clothing boutiques, gift shops, eateries that include Gyros and Philly Steaks, Colorado Pizza (have not ventured there yet), and Mexican Food. Each have their own unique character and reason for existing. However, as in any environment, there are usually one or two standouts which make the journey worthwhile. In Idaho Springs (and yes, it's a personal opinion), that place is The Frothy Cup! Upon entering you are welcomed by an array of gifts, the aroma of coffee, the sight of freshly baked treats, and more important, a crew of smiling faces wearing masks! Yes, we visited the week that Colorado allowed restaurants to reopen during the covid crisis. Glenda Watson, who co-owns the store with her husband, is as delightful a human being as they come. Together with Jessica and PJ, my wife and I were treated like long lost best friends. Definitely, you should try the specialty coffees they have, and ask for the Cowboy Cookies! These are as big as your face, and better than any cookie on the planet! Thank you Glenda, for a fun and amazing experience. We...

MOST DELISH COFFEE & EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Two years ago we went on a ski trip to Colorado and our Air BNB host left us a bag of frothy cup in the kitchen as a welcome present. We tried it and we're really impressed! We went into their cute small town and saw the store front for ourselves. We flew home to Hawaii and brought the remaining bag with us. We drank the rest and couldn't even believe that each cup just kept getting better! We now order 5lb bags from them consistently. It's the only coffee we will drink now! I even pack it with me when I go on trips away from home. We recently ordered our next 5lb bag and there was a shipping issue. It normally ships SO FAST. We called this morning and the woman who answered was so incredible. She remembered packaging our order and delivering it to the post office. She took our phone number and within the hour had gone to the post office herself to figure out where the order was. She called back and let us know the post office believes they sent it but forgot to scan it. Uhhhh...wow!... Again, seriously best coffee AND customer service. THANKS FROTHY CUP. Love, your lifetime coffee consuming...

My husband ordered a latte for me with oatmilk. Expressed that it's because I'm allergic to dairy and nuts so it had to be oatmilk. We're not trying to be pretentious, it's a health matter. I get iced so my milk isn't frothed on the same machine that touches other milks to avoid cross contamination. We were barely back on I-70 before I started having an allergic reaction. I double checked the label before taking a sip and it says "oat". 100% takes like dairy. Now I have to spend the rest of the day feeling sick and having hives because an employee wasn't paying attention or just simply didn't care. Thankfully I can mitigate my dairy allergy symptoms with Benadryl and it wasn't a nut milk instead or I would have gone into full blown anaphylaxis and had to bust out the Epipen. My husband was extra persistent due to two other incidents like this at other small, locally owned mountain coffee shops in the past couple years. Guess we just won't be stopping for coffee on the road anymore.

The Frothy Cup in Idaho Springs was the perfect coffee stop during our family day exploring downtown! We were walking through the shops when I spotted their July Specials and had to try the cinnamon stinger latte. It was amazing — smooth espresso, cozy cinnamon flavor, a hint of honey, and oat milk for the perfect creamy finish. So flavorful and not overly sweet! The shop itself is super cozy and welcoming — the kind of place you want to linger in. The staff was friendly and quick, and everything from the pastries to the drinks felt thoughtfully made. It’s the kind of local coffee shop that just gets it. If you’re visiting Idaho Springs with your family (or just love great coffee), definitely make a stop here!☕️ #idahospringscoffee #frothycup #cinnamons ringer #familyadventures #localcoffeeshop #coffeelovers #oatmilklatte #hiddengemscolorado #coffeewithcharacter #cozycafes #slaughterfamilyvacation #slaughterhomes
