PUBLIC BUYERS BEWARE!!!! Me and my husband have had memberships with Manheim Ohio for many years. No major changes have occurred to the past year. They are singling out Public buyers left and right. The really bad!!! Annual membership $150 competitor close to them annual membership $0, deposit per vehicle you buy manheim $500 competitor $350, manheim day of auction public buyers have to wear a hot pink vest, other auction no, public buyers have to pay an addrional $150 on top of regular buyers fees, competitor no extra charge, if you want to pay cash to manheim $50 charge, competitor would prefer cash. We used to love this auction and so did a lot of other public buyers. It was nothing to see 150-200 public buyers on the day of the repo sale, now if they have 3 that is totally amazing. The annual memberships have dramatically lowered. I don't need to see the numbers to know this. If you purchase a vehicle for $2700 by the time they add all of the fees in, you will be paying close to $4000. I am not sure if Manheim headquarters are aware of all the changes that have been made at this location however, I am sure they know the $ are down from this time last year. The only people that public buyers have to go up against is dealers and most of the time they don't want to pay more than trade in value of any vehicle. PUBLIC BUYERS BEAWARE BEFORE YOU SPEND $150 for their annual membership fee. They also hold your drivers license till you go back to the counter with the pink vest. Also if you are the winning bidder and you are public buyer they physically grab you by the arm and lead you over to the desk to sign the paper work. And they physically remove your badge off of your chest and hand It to the person who is letting you sign the papers. They stated the reason for the changes was because of public buyers not paying for the vehicles that they bid on. I think it's a cop out so that they can get rid of the public buyers at this location any only service the dealers if that's the case then close the public auction. And make it for dealers only. But don't play games with people that are trying to do things...

Read moreKeep your eyes on channel 6 news for a 6 on your side exclusive on Manheim! They are the absolute worst! Our car got repossessed a week ago. We told the repo man we could leave the doors unlocked but he said - not necessary. It's been 4 days since I paid $1200 for the $500 to get my repo'd truck back, yet still no vehicle. I had to call loan max to get my release paperwork faxed to Manheim because the repo company got my release and took my truck to Manheim. So now, Manheim is charging us $103 - a $50 lot fee and $53 for a KEY FEE. Why are we paying a key fee when we offered to leave the doors unlocked?? The rude old woman Becky hung up on me when I told her 6 on your side will be calling to get details on their shady business practices. This whole thing came about because we had some money problems, if it weren't not for a few amazing friends of mine, I would have definitely lost my truck to these vultures! please, if your are in a losing situation such as this, contact me and I'll try to help you get your vehicle.
