Extremely disappointed with our experience at Grove City Pet Suites.
My wife and I had a grooming appointment scheduled for 7:00 AM on Saturday, 06/21/2025, for both of our dogs. With temperatures in the 90s this week, we needed to get their coats cut down to avoid any overheating. We felt pressure to lock in this appointment because of the weather and the fact that the groomer has canceled our previous appointment as well.
I arrived early, but the doors were locked and no staff were present. The manager didnât show until 7:10 AM. When I tried to check in, staff claimed they couldnât find our dogsâ vaccine records - even though my wife had submitted all updated records on 05/24/2025 and I had both documents on my phone ready to show.
Once I presented them, they acknowledged one dog was fully up to date. However, they refused to thoroughly review the second document, wrongly stating that our other dogâs Bordetella vaccine wasnât current. The paperwork clearly showed on the second page that the vaccine was given on 05/24/2025, the same as the first dog.
Instead of taking the time to actually read the documentation, they took a dismissive stance and claimed they were hesitant to provide grooming because of ârecent outbreaksâ even though the records were valid and complete.
After 30 minutes of back-and-forth, I was finally told that the groomer wasnât even coming in that day . Once again, another same-day cancellation with zero proactive communication.
I took the dogs home and my wife called in to sort things out. She was put on hold for a collective 30 minutes and was hung up on. After calling back several times they answered and the only solution they could provide is to reschedule for JULY 18th and a $25 store credit.
At this point, between the repeated cancellations, poor communication, refusal to read documents we took time to provide, and the complete lack of accountability, we will not...
Read moreOur dog recently stayed for a week while we were on vacation. This was her second stay, as we had used this kennel a few weeks prior with no issue. Unfortunately, during this stay, she received multiple puncture wounds to her head and face and not a single person could tell me what happened. No one apparently saw it. I asked that the cameras be reviewed, to which they were, and was then told that there was a scuffle between my dog and another dog the day we dropped her off, yet we were not notified. Thus leaving my dog there for an entire week with injuries and no treatment and no notification. No communication was made to us or any of our emergency contacts that we had listed. Interestingly, we did receive several photos throughout her stay that did not show any injuries until the last day, to which she looked absolutely miserable. We mistakenly thought she just looked different because her fur was wet but it was actually numerous dog bites, So we didn't realize anything had happened until we picked her up on Sunday morning. The staff handed her over with her on her leash and said nothing. We had to turn around and ask why our dog was wounded and no one could answer why. The only silver lining here is that they did offer to pay the vet bill that day to have her checked, which she did receive a shaved down, and e-color, and multiple medications for her wounds. I am saddened by the lack of communication and negligence in attending to the dogs, and especially surprised given our previous experience. I would caution anyone who uses this kennel, especially if you are doing playgroup for your dogs, as I am not convinced they are monitored while they are in there. Huge safety concern...
Read moreWe had three dogs stay here for one week while our family was on vacation. Here is a short rundown of what happened. At the front desk we werenât greeted and heard employees swearing in the management office. On vacation, the pawgress reports were sporadic, sometimes not even the right dog, and very lacking. There were only one or two photos per dog (if we even got a report card for every dog) and no specific comments regarding their stay. During their playtime hours, one of our dogs was being harassed by another dog which continuously humped her and followed her around. The attendant on duty did absolutely nothing. We called about this and instead of correcting the harassing dog or placing it in timeout, our big dogs were placed into the playtime group of small dogs for the rest of their stay. This seemed odd as one of them is a great pyrenees mix and the other a golden who were now among dogs the size of yorkies and other small breeds. This seemed irresponsible and unfair to our dogs who couldnât really play with smaller breeds due to being larger. Once we picked up our pups we noticed they were coughing, sneezing, and oozing snot. All of which are clear signs of kennel cough. Yet, we were never contacted for any observances of possible illness. I later called to see if anyone had noticed this, to be then told nothing of the sort was recorded, but another caller that day also reported their dog having kennel cough as well. The lack of observance skills, communication, and protection is appalling. Please donât bring your pups here unless you want to pay an expensive sum for your dogs to...
