Absolute worst food and service in my life. We walked into a server berating the host because of where they were sat. Turns out Cheryl the BRIGHT ray of sunshine was our server. Before getting to us we got to see her be rude to her other tables as well. She rudely introduces herself to us. She’s short, combative and interrupted us whenever she saw fit. Don’t dare ask questions. She’ll tell you you’re wrong and how long it’s been since things changed. Don’t ask for smoked wings, she’ll treat you like a dummy for not knowing what sauce you wanted (formerly they didn’t come with sauce. We asked the host if she was like that to everyone. The host only went and told the server. Our service got worse from there. We watched her be rude to ANOTHER new table. Our beers were thrown down on the table once we figured out on our own answers the questions we had the beer selection. Suddenly we weren’t being visited by Cheryl anymore. Some random guy took over. Not once did he tell us who he was or why that just happened. We ordered “smoked wings”. We received deep fried garbage. They weren’t the former smoked wings we once got. Due to Cheryl being extremely unkind and unhelpful we flagged someone else down to confirm these were right. They said they were. They were barely smoked and fried to hell. They used to have a bark and feel actually smoked. That’s a thing of the past. Once our food FINALLY arrived, forever later. This provided photo of the most comical and disgusting brisket I’ve ever seen in my life. Let alone the gross pork, and burnt to heck sausage. I couldn’t help but laugh once the server finally came back to ask how it was going. The mind blowing thing to me, is someone looked at this WHOLE plate and thought it was ok to serve. The server tried to laugh it off and proceeded to bring me a slightly better portion. We were already so tired of the whole experience, but MIND BLOW that not once did a manger stop by. By my own stupidity I paid for this ordeal, and shouldn’t have. We even tipped the mystery man 20 percent. He did at least bring us another round and keep waters full. Does anyone prebus anymore? Not here. One of the worst overall experiences we’ve ever had. We said walking out of the restaurant we aren’t ever coming back. This place used to be our favorite and it’s turned to sh*t. Last few visits were mediocre.. this one was WELL beyond that.
It’s been weeks now. Not ONE soul has contacted me about this. That BS reply down below is a joke. I’ve reached out in more than one way and got ZERO response. Garbage food and lies...

I stopped into Smokey Bones after seeing a few locations during my travels. I was curious about the food and the vibe and decided to give the Grove City Ohio location a try. Smokey is a commercial chain of Barbecue restaurants around the USA serving up their versions of classic barbecue dishes. I was seated very quickly and my server came to my table very quickly. I told them that this was my first visit and they helped me choose starters and my main course. Each table at Smokey Bones has an assortment of barbecue sauces that you can try to see which one or ones you like. I started my meal with a cup of chili and the Korean Pork Belly Pops which is slow-cooked, tender pork belly, flash-fried until it's crispy and then topped with Smokey Bones Korean BBQ sauce. These pops were flavourful and more filling than I thought which left me with only a smaller portion option for my main course. I then ordered the Texas-style beef Brisket Platter that comes with two sides. The Brisket was moist and tender with a good amount of smokiness permeating through the meat. My sides were fire-roasted corn and Barbecue baked beans. Both sides were a great compliment to my meal. I was impressed with the place, the alcohol selection, the vibe, the service and the food as well. I most likely will try Smokey Bones again in another city to see how it compares to the Grove...
Read moreUpon arrival at 5:30pm we waited for a few minutes to be seated, it wasn’t an issue as we had 8 people. There were only about 2-3 table and one person at the bar so we knew they weren't busy. After being sat for 18min with 2 small kids we asked if he had a server (no one had even stopped at our table to get drinks yet) and we were told to “just wait one second”. The table beside us that was sat 5-10min after us had already gotten drinks and appetizers But we still waited another 5min and hadn’t talked to a single person yet. We ultimately decided to get up and choose somewhere else as the kids were hungry and we had no idea how long it would be still. As we were leaving the (I’m assuming) manager asked if everything was okay and followed us to the door, when we told her we had been sat for 20min+ and no one had even bothered to get our drinks yet she snapped an attitude (might have been towards employees I didn’t stay long enough to find out as I was already frustrated) but regardless it isn’t a way to treat anyone as a manager. Do better Smokey bones Texas Roadhouse treated us phenomenal and got our entire table drinks in less then 5min while...
