Just so rude all the time. Miserable at best is the crowd that is here.
Apparently we just lock the doors at 1030 now even though it clearly states open until 11 PM which is still silly especially with this store being 24hrs before COVID. Closing times everywhere are still too early for certain groups of people. This store in general however, 10 hits and like clockwork this horrible annoying yelling voice over the intercom is rushing everyone to the front to get out, when I hear that voice I want to just scream and yell it is that annoying and frustrating. Some of us work 12-10 10-10 or worse. I struggle to find any time to make it with these hours anymore and it's flat out not fair because I'm not trying to wake up and go to the store before work I will never be home then.
Concern here is the doors being locked 30 minutes before closing so nobody can get in the store. That's just wrong. You should really be ashamed because this is a new "yep sounds like Walmart" even I didn't think would be a conversation ever especially given the loss of money that will be felt. Most unprofessional and undertrained staff and managers at night I've ever witnessed, don't answer the phone ringing right next to them, stare at you trying to get in since the stores open still and then ignoring you completely and sit in whatever Little gossip circle they had going on clearly, not kidding it was a circle of them yes, not giving 2 cares about anything but themselves and their schedule of importance.
This is a new level of Walmart bad and it's just sad and pitiful honestly. Get em next time, maybe.... Yeah probably not. Lol get real man this is what the whole Walmart rep is made for this stuff that...
Read moreThis is the oldest. and first Walmart to be built in the area. It serves as an anchor store of the primary "The Strip" shopping district and stays pretty busy in spite of being on top of so many other competing options. It is not easily connected to any of the sidewalks or pathways to the other stores. It would be nice if they at least boosted the quality of the crosswalks. It would make the whole experience of making an afternoon of taking advantage of the variety and concentration of stores more safe and walkable. By virtue of its age, it is not a supercenter. This means limited food offerings. In my book, that makes this 2nd tier choice for I 'need to go to walmart' for something instances because their selection is more limited.
Sometimes it's nice and evokes more of a overly-large drugstore vibe than that of a superstore.
Once upon a time, there was a restaurant in the front of the store. Now, it hosts their order fulfillment department.
They have a big corral of do-it-yourself checkouts and never have more than 4 or 5 human employee lanes open. Because of this, lines are sporadically running some 10-15 people deep and take a decent chunk of time to stand in. If I were in a hurry then this would not be my first draft pick.
PROTIP✅️ for getting out more quickly when Im only grabbing one or two ways I'll cash out at the electronics department. That line only gets backed up around the holidays.
Like all stores that were able to get away with it, they have retained covid era tightened closing time. I cant tell you how many times I've tried to roll up being trained on the 24 hour model for a decade or more before. Bring back the night. Night owls need...
Read moreThis is for the auto center, not the rest of the store. Got my oil changed in January. Had an appointment. Was there about an hour total. Not bad. Called last week to make an appointment. 'We don't make appointments for oil change. It's just walk in.' oh. Ok. Because I had to make an appointment in January. Also, so now that you don't take appointments, I'll just be stuck there for what may be hours, may be minutes? 'we were requiring appointments at that time because we were short staffed. We have enough staff now to dedicate to oil changes only to get people in and out fairly quickly.' oh ok. And if I buy a battery there, will you install and if so what's the charge. 'no charge to install a battery purchased here.' and I can do that while I'm there for an oil change. 'Yes.' Cool. get there. Request the battery and oil change. See a couple people waiting and a few cars back there. Ask before he even sees if they have a battery for my car if there is a wait because I had approximately an hour and a half. 'Nope. No wait. I'll pull it in now'. Pick out the only battery. Give him my keys. Sit down... 10 mins later he comes in and says 'it's going to be at least two hours.' ummmm.... No thanks. Went to Advance Auto by my work. Battery purchased and installed in 20 mins. Will just go to Valvoline by my work for the oil change. So much for killing two birds...
