The food was good. Service was almost adequate. Our waiter was very personable, unfortunately that's about as good as it got. Maybe I expect too much. He took forever to get our drinks. We both ordered ice water. When they came, mine had a big white lip mark on the brim. The waiter was apologetic, and got me a clean one, but never took the soiled one away. I tried to order the "bottomless" side salad. He told me I shouldn't get it as a meal, because it was too small. I asked "isn't it bottomless?" he said his manager would only let him give one or two helpings, then cut it off. He made me feel rushed. He stood over me suggesting items on the menu. At one point he asked if I liked "spicy" food. I said absolutely not. He recommended two hamburgers saying they were "the cheapest" ones they had. When I told him I was dieting, he suggested the grilled chicken. He said I could get it with the side salad, then said it only came with a side salad. I ordered it on his recommendation. Well, I had asked what came on the side salad and was told lettuce, cucumber, and cheese. That was why I didn't get it as a meal. Turned out it came with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and corn chip strips. The Thousand island dressing was quite good. Unfortunately, the grilled chicken was very spicy. He delivered our food and apologized because all the knives were in the dishwasher. He said he would bring them out when they were done. By the time he came to check on us, my nephew was done eating. I was still waiting on a knife to cut my salad up. I had resorted to cutting one breast with my fork. I'm a diabetic, and had taken my insulin. When the waiter came back, he ask he I needed anything. I said "yes, a knife" he told me they were still in the dishwasher, but he would hand wash one for me. He came back 5 minutes later with it. Then, never came back to check on us for 20 minutes. My water was gone, my mouth was burning and no waiter. When he finally came back, I was done with all I could handle of the spicy chicken. I ask for the check, he pointed at the table "tablet" and told he how to use my card in it. Kind of came across as condescending. Then I told him, I was paying cash, he said in that case it will take a while. And explained what all was involved. I just wanted to pay and leave. 5 minutes later he came to get my money. Never told me the amount of the check. I had seen it on the screen, so knew how much to give him. 5 minutes later I told my nephew we were leaving. I wasn't waiting for the $.70 change. Well that and 3 dollars was his tip. On a $40.00 check. I'm a decent tipper, when treated right. I felt I over tipped...
Read moreWe used to like this Red Robin. Not anymore. On December 4, 2024, we ordered two burgers, no pink, and pretzel bites: a cheesy bacon fondue burger and a Banzai burger. The first round of burgers were so raw inside they were mooing at us (see attached photos), so we called back to get our food replaced. The manager, Donny, was nice enough to say he would refund us and give us our entire order for free. My fiancé went back to Red Robin to get the second round of food, and upon returning home with the food, I realized they only gave him burgers (which, okay, fine, whatever), but his cheese for his burger was disgusting; it was chunky and looked like they scraped it from the bottom of the pan. Upon opening our burgers, we realized that whoever was in the kitchen cooking was clearly mad that we complained about the food because the burgers we received this time were completely burned on the bottom, and my Banzai burger had so much mayonnaise on it that it was overflowing, with only a few sparse pieces of lettuce and no teriyaki sauce(neither one of the banzi burgers had the teriyaki sauce). None. I obviously called back again and complained to the same manager, who told me he would be sending us a gift card through e-mail. No offer to remake the food, nothing. Even if he had, I would have said no because, at this point, I was fuming mad, and we ended up ordering from another establishment closer to home. Fast forward a few days to Saturday. I assumed he either didn't take my e-mail address down correctly or something as I still had not received my gift card, so I once again called Red Robin and spoke to a young lady who, at first, told me there was no such manager at Red Robin by the name of Donny. But after she checked who the manager was on the evening of December 4th, she came back and said he was not in at that time and took down all my information to leave a message. She was very kind and seemed very helpful. About three minutes after we hung up, she called me back to inform me that they would be refunding us right away and sending me a gift card. She took my information down twice to make sure it was correct. I told her she was excellent and appreciated her time. I still don't have my gift card or my refund. Shame on...
Read moreThe lack of respect was hard to take. So, I walk in with my three kids and wife and I'm happy to see that there is nobody in front of us waiting for a table. Awesome. After a long drive the family just needs to sit down and have some burgers. I go up to the hostess to be seated. She asks if I would be able to fit my family at a 4 seat booth? This is an odd question as there are 5 of us. But, I take a look at the booths (which are very small) and politely inform her that we probably won't fit. I ask if they have a high chair for the end of the booth. She gives me a confused look and says, "Probably not. Lemme go talk to my manager. " She comes back and informs me that there will be a 40 minute wait for a table.. This confused me as the place was dead. It's Monday night. We are the only people waiting for a table and I can literally see several tables open. I inform her that we aren't going to be able to wait that long. She then looks at me and smiles. I already knew the answer as I could see it in her face. But, I asked anyways. "You're not going to let us eat here today are you?" She answered, "I guess not" and walked away. Sadly, I had to pack everyone back up in the car. Now, sitting in the car, hungry and confused my wife and I looked at each other with confusion. We couldn't believe the level of unprofessionalism and disrespect we just witnessed. This was by far the worst we have ever been treated at any establishment in Ohio. I live 5 minutes away and I will never visit this place again. Also, the food is not even good so I don't consider it a very big loss. But I will be recommending to everyone I know as well as everyone I know online to never visit this overpriced hole again. Red Robin is just too busy. Sad. So we went to IHOP and everyone was happy again. Red Robin is the definition of bad service. I hope you go out of business soon and they replace you with...
