What an uncomfortable experience! This Thursday Feb 6th I went to the store to buy some clothes for a trip and to gift myself something due to my birthday being so close and the cashier was SO out of line. At first when my friend and I arrived to the store, the young blond lady with curly hair was SO SO helpful and so nice. She was really listening to what we needed and was really helpful. While she was helping my friend I went to look at the hair claws and the cashier (older lady with dark hair and glasses) started pestering me. At first she wanted me to look at the caps and headbands and I told her I really wanted a hair claw. Turns out the one I wanted wasn’t in stock so she offers to order online for me and get it within 48 hours. So I agreed and advised her I would do so at checkout since I was still shopping, to what she responds “to late, I’m already putting the order in”, stupid me proceeds to give out my address and she quickly put the order in, when she is checking out the order I tell her, “hey my address is not correct” to what she responds “oh, don’t worry, I’ll fix it just pay”, and again stupid me DO SO. When she hands me the receipt I give it back and point out the address being wrong. She tells me she fixed it, not to worry, I got annoyed and told her to please print out a new receipt with the address corrected to what she says “oh shit I have to call customer service because is not letting me”. She dismissed me and told me to go back shopping that she will get it fixed, I went and try out some clothes and the blond young lady kept helping me. When I’m out of the fitting room, the cashier now tries selling me shoes and interrupting the young girl, I started ignoring her but at this time she was kinda screaming, I kindly decline. Then I’m looking for a specific color of joggers cuz I’m trying to build a whole outfit and unfortunately it wasn’t on my size. The young lady tells me to order it at checkout to save on shipping fees but the CASHIER AGAIN, started meddling in a conversation and starts telling the young girl to show me other colors, so she follows instructions, to what I kindly tell her, I’m not interested in other colors and that I was ready to check out now and leave. The young girl had some other stuff on hold for me to what the CASHIER grands and starts scanning and I tell her “hey, I’m not taking it all let me decide”. Long story short when I’m putting away what I’m taking she kept trying to tell me what to do and sell me other stuff but she didn’t read the room where I was pissed off and where she was making the young girl uncomfortable. First of all I’m not talking to you and second keep yourself at checking people’s bags and let the seller do her job. It is SO rude, so unprofessional and unethical. Right now I’m having to go through customer service because guess what? The hair clippers shipped to Texas and my address is from Florida. OMG never going back, that lady ruins everything and the...
Read moreTerrible customer service - they hound you the entire time and make for the most uncomfortable shopping experience. There are only ever a few customers at a time yet they have about 5-7 employees on the floor constantly harassing you while you try to shop. I went in to return a pair of shorts and exchange for something new. Within two minutes of entering the store, three different employees asked what I was in Alo for...hmmm, it couldn't possibly be to look at your clothes! While looking at an item, the manager, who had been watching me like a hawk, approached me with a very unpleasant and unprofessional attitude, and asked if I was returning something, what it was, and why. She made me feel like she thought I was going to steal something. I was extremely uncomfortable by that point, only for one employee to continue to tell me about every single item I looked at/touched the remaining time I was in the store. I made my exchange and got out of there! I always dread going into Alo knowing how the employees are but today was on a completely different level. I will never return to this store again. Alo, you need to fire or retrain your manager and...
Read morewhile on a trip to florida, my aunt and i headed into alo in jacksonville to peruse a few items since my aunt is a yoga instructor. we were glancing at the yoga mats when one of the ladies who worked in the shop asked if we were looking for anything specific to which we replied we were only looking. she then asked which mat my aunt used and when my aunt responded manduka (in my opinion a more authentic brand than alo yoga but that isn’t the point) she proceeded to tell her “oh those are just the worst of the worst” etc. then went on and on basically putting my aunt down. it was extremely off putting and so unprofessional. she continued to be quite frankly rude while asking where we practiced (we did let her know my aunt was an instructor and has practiced in india and other places abroad). we agreed that her remarks about the mat were a horrible sales tactic and attacking a customer’s preferences is not the way to retain customers. overall we quickly left after the interaction. i just couldn’t believe a sales person would be so rude off the bat like that and we will not be returning to this location when we visit...
