BUYER BEWARE! Damage to our home and nearly 2 months to get a couch. Nice furniture and sales people, horrible communication and delivery (damage to your home included)! The beginning of January we purchased a dining room table, a rug, ottoman, sofa, and pillows. We received our dining room table the next day, with slight issue in that they had to change our delivery time from morning 5 hour slot to afternoon 5 hour slot due to truck issues. Fine. The guys who delivered the table were quick, thorough, and polite. I love our dining room table. When we left the store post-purchase, we knew upfront that the sofa could take up to 3 weeks to be delivered. Well, after over 3 weeks we decided to see what the hold up was, all of a sudden, they called back to say it would be delivered that Friday and that they would call Thursday to confirm a time frame. Thursday night came, no call. We call and they confirm a time frame. Thatâs annoying. Later that same night they call to say they actually donât have the couch, itâll be in their hands on Monday for delivery Tuesday. Ok, thatâs even more annoying. Monday night we have to call again to see what our delivery window will be on Tuesday. They give it to us. The guys were still late, by about 1-1.5 hours if I remember correctly. Again, we had to call to see where they were. Now, the entrance to our home is tight, but rather than have us take off the garage door, they decide to go through the front door. Terrible mistake. It takes all four of us (my boyfriend, myself, and the two movers one of which is apparently the warehouse manager since they are short staffed movers), to keep the doors open and maneuver the couch into the house. They realize that was a poor move and try to take the couch out, but itâs stuck. On the way in and out, we discover the paint is chipped off the wall, the wall is dented, and the entryway to our front room is damaged. Oh, and as they finally get it out, I see it...the huge rip on the corner of the couch and then the stains on the cushions. Lovely. We decide to keep the couch while they order another one to take its place. When I called and spoke with Eddie when the movers were there, he assured me it would take maybe a week and he would follow up with me regarding the new couch and the drywall and paint would be taken care of by Kimbrellâs. I havenât spoken with him since. My boyfriend spoke with the manager (I cannot remember her name) the next day, and she apologized saying sheâll âmake it rightâ. Well guess what? We have not spoken with her since either. We had to follow up twice in a 2-2.5 week span in order to find out the status of our undamaged couch. Itâs finally in and they give us a delivery date! They actually called us around 8pm to give us a delivery window for the next day (today). We had to call them at 5:30 to inquire their whereabouts (our time frame was between 1-6) to be given the run around about why they were late. They arrive at 7pm. Fortunately this time we decide to go straight through the garage, taking off the door, and the exchange was over in about 30 minutes. All in all, this was an absolute horrible experience. Their customer service is non-existent. They do not care about their customers once they have received their money. Look, I know stuff happens, people are sick, deliveries take longer than expected. However, we expressed our unhappiness from the beginning and they were nothing but talk. All this happened while apparently they are going through a change in management or ownership? I donât know, they sucked before, during, and after their change. We will NEVER, EVER go back to Kimbrellâs. Itâs so unfortunate because we have three other rooms to purchase for, but you couldnât pay me to work with Kimbrellâs again. We havenât heard anything about compensation for our walls and ceiling, but they took pictures and so did we, so thatâll be a fun battle. Save your money for an establishment that actually appreciates your business. DO NOT PURCHASE...
Read moreThe store is very nice and they have a very wide selection. The staff made us feel right at home and didnât hover and pester you. We were greeted and they asked if they could help us and then allowed us to look around until I was ready to ask questions and needed help. Which I like!
I just moved back to the area and decided to stop by looking for a new living room set. One of their employees by the name of Shannan helped me. She was very warm and inviting. We joked with the store manager and other staff members because we have the same names. I am Big Shannon and she is Little Shannan. Our names are spelled differently but, she is definitely MY KIND OF PEOPLE!! She even provided hot out of the oven Chocolate Chip Cookies and water to my young adult children who were less than impressed with furniture shopping with mom.
Shannan was very polite, insightful and helped me bring my vision for my new home to life. She went out of her way to help me pick out the best look for my new Farm House style. At one point she even moved some end tables to another area of the store to create the look I was wanting with the couch set I was looking to purchase after making another suggestion. To me, that was truly going above and beyond! I appreciated her kindness, attentiveness and to every little detail I threw at her. It truly helped me make my final and right choice for our family and new home since I am a very visual person.
If you ever stop in and need a stellar employee to help you out. Ask for Little Shannan and tell her Big Shannon sent you! Lol!! đ Her name is Shannan and her last name starts with an âNâ. Itâs hard to pronounce so I donât want to even attempt to spell it...
Read moreKnowing exactly what I was looking for and an idea of what I was willing to pay, I decided to visit Kimbrellâs to see what their pricing was on the bedroom set I wanted. I had been comparing the set with other local and online retailers and I was looking to get the best price possible.
Shortly after entering the store I was greeted by Acacia who was very professional and friendly. She diligently listened to what I was looking for and made me feel comfortable as she explained pricing and availability. She wasnât the aggressive ankle nipping dog that many sales associates can come off as! She didnât try to sell me a single thing more than what I was looking for and her manager was willing to offer a discount on what I was purchasing.
The other retailers I had been comparing had outrageous delivery fees accompanied by not receiving the product for roughly 2 weeks. Kimbrellâs keeps their product in stock and I was able to set up next day delivery! That in itself could be the BEST part of shopping there! After spending a year and a half recovering from Hurricane Florence, the last thing I wanted to do was wait another 2-3 weeks to get furniture.
To say I was pleased would be an understatement.
If youâre looking for furniture or appliances, by all means shop around but do yourself a favor by stopping in to see Acacia at Kimbrellâs on Western Blvd. I donât think youâll be...
