We had the WORST experience at this location, we were today at register 4 and the gentleman that took care of us was very nice, our amount of purchase was $185.00 which we paid by debit, the first system after the purchase kept loading and did not take the payment, supervisor came over and did a reset and asked to swipe the card again. We swiped the card and the pin pad showed approved, we received an email stating our purchase went through from our bank went through, however the register had the blue loading logo And it was going extremely. The clerk advised the supervisor that the issue occurred again, she wanted us to swipe the card again we responded NO the payment went through. At this point Dominique was called over, we believe she was senior supervisor or acting mgr, she stated also the payment did not go through, vee showed the proof that it indeed go through, she told us to call our bank, we told her we did not need to as we can see payment was taken and we received an email from the bank payment was taken. To satisfy the situation we called our bank and placed it on speaker for Dominique to hear, during this whole time from the time she arrived she had the stinkiest attitude and unprofessional with her short answers. The then called the store mgr Eric Jordin and he spoke to Dominique we don't know what was said however we were done and wanted to leave, we asked Dominique for a refund she asked for ID my fiance handed her license, Dominique came back handed her the license and said "take your stuff" pushed the cart and we were like ??? I asked you Gabe us a refund and telling us to take the merchandise? She responded no I did not give a refund! We told her what did she do with the license she said she was instructed to take a photo copy, we were like why?? At this point we asked for the refund right away and we no longer wanted the merchandise! Dominique then issued the refund in cash to us however during this whole time very condescending and with attitude as if we did something wrong and to be a member of MGMT not even offer ANY type of apology?? We did not make a scene at all during this whole time. The other supervisor which we did not get her name was nice and had Eric Jordin on the phone again explaining the outcome to him outside on her personal phone, my fiance asked to speak to him and explained how unprofessional Dominique was during this whole situation and he acted as if he was trying to justify what happened and we told him we had proof by our bank account, email , the pin pad approval, and we called the bank. He continued to try and justify the issue and we just left him talking on the phone and handed the supervisor back her phone. Unfortunately we will not return to Ollie's anymore, we left feeling like we were criminals...
Read moreOllie's is similar to Big Lots minus their own branded items (so far). They have a huge selection of bargain books for children and young adults, along with some adult novels.
I love their large flower pots and pottery and their prices are far below the average. In fact, some of their largest pots are between $60-$100, less than 1/4th of the price plant nurseries charges and cheaper than the largest plastic pots at Lowes and Home Depot.
Ollie's carries a large selection of rugs, but they are not the most affordable compared to discount rugs at Ross's. Ollie's loses one star from my review due to the disorganization of some of the items. One example is boxes of latex gloves, instead of being located in the hair dye isle or the paint isle, were located in-between paper plates and plastic silverware near the snacks section.
The second star knocked is due to isles of stock that never seem to move and just collect dust. I wish they would do an assessment of the stock that doesnt move and do deeper discounts to make room for products we are actually looking for.
Everyone should give Ollie's a chance and I think you will find that you visit for specific finds rather than just...
Read moreYesterday I received the worst customer service here. Customer's please be aware prices are not what the sticker displays but what it rings up as. I realized after checking out the Bissell cordless vacuum I purchased rung up $129.99 and the Ollie sticker had $87.99 which the (3) they had in-stock all had $87.99 sticker on it. I didn't even make it out the store, I stopped at the last cashier and waited for him to finish with the customer and explained it. He told me I would have to get back in line. I literally just checked out and he said well you can't skip the other customers. So my husband got back in line while I took the rest of our stuff in the buggy to the car. He returned with no vacuum in hand said they told him it rung up $129.99 so that was the price not the red Ollie price sticker on it for $87.99. Obviously your system was not updated or someone marked the wrong price sticker on the 3 you had instock. Rather satisfy a customer and honor the sticker price you lacked customer satisfaction and we returned it all together and went and purchased one from...
