On Tuesday, February 18, I lost my phone as I was running to my car during a down pour of rain. I was in Calhoun. After searching two locations to make sure I hadn't left it earlier at another stop, I headed for home near Blue Ridge, GA. As I drove, I became increasingly worried about the information contained on the phone and my passkey was a simple one. Thinking I might try to find a library in Jasper (no idea if there is one) as I was driving on Hwy 53, I noticed the Cricket Store. I pulled in, hoping the salesperson would understand my apprehension even though my carrier is not Cricket. I met a kind young man named Cason Hardy. He understood, looked up the phone number for my carrier and allowed me to use the phone for about 10 minutes while I suspended service on my phone. Cason could have told me he couldn't help. But, he didn't. He seemed truly concerned for my discomfort and he was so very kind. If there's a time in the future that I need to change carriers for some reason, I'm going to Cricket in Jasper. I had to go back several times because I was using an unlocked phone and it was giving me problems and not once did she get aggravated with me or anything!! The only reason I only gave 4 stars is because the first day I came in, which was a Sunday, they were doing an update during regular business hours and every time, apparently, the system will not work after the update. So she was unable to take any payments or purchases the entire day. That is a higher up's decision and it is a horrible one!! One of the new screen protectors is defective and won’t stay attached – when the phone is bumped, it falls off. Went to the store to get it exchanged today and the associate refused. He agreed, something is probably not right, but he refused to exchange it and said “there’s nothing I can do”? What???? Needless to say, I’ll never step foot in the Jasper Cricket store again.
