This store lacks customer service. A elderly lady in front of me recieves an email about a discount. Unfortunately it was for online. Instead of honoring the discount for the lady they told her she would have to place an online order that would take 30 minutes-2 hours to fill for one item that she currently was holding.
Why would anyone want to drive back especially an elderly lady? Why would you do that to your customers? I've worked retail. When we received online orders we could fill them instantly as long as we were available. She already had the item. They literally could of scanned it and given it to her in less than 30 minutes.
So not only would you not make an exception for her, you would make her do an order and them potentially wait another 2 hours to an elderly when it could of been handled quickly and the customer would have walked out happy, you charge the nondiscount price when she originally walked in for the sale in the email.
Yes you save 15-20 dollars this one time, but you lost a forever customer in her. Was the 15-20 dollars worth it?
After she left angry, I had a return. I didn't have my original receipt but I had michaels reward and emails. I gave the order number but they said they needed a barcode. They typed in my phone number for michaels rewards and said the best they can do is store credit with 70% less of what I paid.
I left and went to another michaels. Told them what happened and they had me log in to michaels reward myself. We found the barcodes and I was able to return everything. They weren't money hungry, they took their time to help me and treated me Iike a valued customer, a human actually.
I will never return to this Michaels. Be careful with this location especislly if there is a possibility you will have to...
Read moreI just have to give a special kudos to the kid in the framing dept Stevon .. I came to pick up an online order and I watched him deal with another customer while I waited ..that kept him with alot of questions.. and he had the most genuine, caring attitude towards her.. When he politely excused himself to tend to me he was so friendly and helpful offering to immediately go get the item from the other side of the store himself as it hadn't been pulled yet (just made the order a couple hours ago- RIGHT before their closing time ) . He never acted impatient or rude as I've experienced at so many other places especially with young employees. He came back quickly and asked if there was anything else he could help me with. I guess I was just mostly impressed with how genuinely caring he seemed towards not only the customers but also towards his coworkers which he started to help after being done with me. This young man is an asset! Hold on to him and please recognize him for his efforts! This is a rare thing in customer service these...
Read moreI literally just walked out the store. I walked in and was not greeted but I noticed the people who came after me were. I didn’t really trip because my trip was intended for something specific. I grabbed my items and came to the register. The cashier did not greet me. To the point I had to look at her and say hello and she still didn’t speak. I then said good morning and smiled and finally she said good morning. When I was leaving I said thank you and nothing. I’m huge on customer service and normally things like this would cause me to not patron Michaels but I’ll just take my business elsewhere. It pays you absolutely nothing to be polite. I shouldn’t have to greet the cashier multiple times. Her...
