Pollo Campero — Restaurant in Jersey Village

This was the first time coming to this restaurant since it is new to the Copperfield area. I have been to other locations before. I was really disappointed on several things. One, the service is terrible. They don’t tell you ahead that they are out of certain items on the menu. I had ordered camperitos (9 piece), and when I drove to the window, they told me they did not have any available. They were out for the day. I think they should have announced at the time I was ordering that they were out and not when I was already at the window paying for my order. I also asked if the chicken was fresh. I did arrive at 9:30pm through the drive thru. The person who took my order said that the chicken was fresh. When I asked, someone over the intercom said that I had an attitude which I did not. I found that very unprofessional. Second, when they display the 4 pc meal mixed, they should ask if you want it fried or grilled. They assumed I wanted all of the chicken fried. It clearly shows a plate with 2 pieces grilled and 2 pieces fried mixed. I ordered 3: 4 pc mixed plates. Each came with 2 sides. When I arrived home, I was missing a side of rice and all the bread was smashed. I understand it was near closing time, but please try to make sure the order is correct. As a customer, we trust and rely on your service and making sure our order is correct and complete. I felt that the service given did not meet my expectations on the amount paid for my order which was $44.49. I feel like this location needs to work on making sure the customers orders are correct and complete as well as good...

The good - chicken is really good, their beans are also really good, I was extremely surprised. They serve you on real plates which is a nice touch. The bad - this place is extremely dirty, we walked in and only 2 other families in the place and most tables were dirty and haven’t been picked up yet, food all over the floor. As we were eating more people were coming in and trying to find a empty table so noticed someone started cleaning them off but couldn’t finish one table because she would stop and talk to co-workers, by the time we got done eating some tables were cleaned off but no one ever bothered to clean all the food on the floors by the tables so customers would set on a table stepping on the food on the floor. My wife went to the bathroom and trash all over the floor and no toilet paper. For this place being this new I was disgusted how dirty it was, plenty of people working but no one in charge looking over what needed to be done to direct employees. I will not come here again, for all the employees to be ok for how dirty this place was I can’t believe they’d even wash their hands after using the restroom. These employees had no direction...

We visited here the other night and got takeout and we're very happy with our meal. I only have two complaints about it as a whole. The one was my wife's fries that she received were hard, cold and very stale. They obviously had not thrown away the old ones during the slow time and cooked fresh, as they should. The other issue was the size of the chicken legs in my wife's fried meal. She received two legs and a thigh and the two legs were extremely small. For that amount of money it should not have been two legs & a thigh it probably should have been two thighs & a leg! At least for $11 I hope that's what it should be. Two little chicken legs doesn't cut it as a main course! I got the grilled chicken meal and I was extremely happy with it. The chicken was flavorful and very well cooked. I also got the coleslaw which I enjoyed and we both got a dinner roll which was nice and soft. We will definitely go back, but I will make sure that the fries are fresh and that the three piece meal doesn't have two little scrawny chicken legs as its...
