My family and I had such a disappointing service last night.
First of all, extremely high price for low quality products. Not worth it.
Second of all, itâs sad to see that they hire anyone nowadays, because to have employees who like to poke fun and embarrass customer is beyond me. Even more upsetting is to have witnessed the shift manager contribute to such behavior and not even apologize. I saw a group of employees, manager included, one female worker with glasses and two teenagers(one running register 2 and one register 4) make fun and try to embarrass my mom as she walked past them. They try to making her believe the store was closing in â20 minutesâ in order to get her to hurry up and leave. When in reality she still had more than enough time to shop around given the store closed at 10pm. Once my mom checked the time confused, they all proceeded to laugh at her. She stayed quiet and walked away, which they took as a victory to their intimidation and continued to laugh at her. Such immature behavior. Once I stepped in to ask if there was an issue they realized she wasnât alone and we had witnessed everything. They still did not apologize but instead denied any wrong doing. After this the manager finally sent his employees back to âworkâ. Which I also noticed whoever the employee on register 2 was would try to hide in order to use his e-cigarette.
If their goal is to âEncourage our staff to provide excellent customer serviceâ, they have most definitely failed and are in need of retraining because my family felt completely disrespected.
Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else, youâll definitely find better prices and most importantly better...

I always come to this Food town because itâs local and very convenient for me because I am a single mother with two kids. The store is literally across the street from where I live. Itâs almost 100 degrees here in Houston So going to HEB or Walmart is not really something that I wanted to do.. RAMANDO the â Store managerâ followed me And he pretended to look at a yogurt from where I was standing and then He randomly picked up another item pretending to look at it! I walked up to the self check out And he literally came from his podium to stand in the front of the checkout area, where I was and just watched me! mind you I was the only black person in the store at the time! I proceeded to ask one of the employees to speak with the manager because I was so uncomfortable.. RAMANDO Proceeds to walk up to me, and as I was expressing to him how uncomfortable he made me feel, and I was very respectful to him! HE JUST WALKS AWAY! Mid conversation!! That is not the way you should handle a situation and he definitely Should not be working in customer service Better yet a managers position!! Really thinking about pressing charges for discrimination!! Definitely would not recommend shopping here and I will never shop at any Foodtown...
   Read moreIn my 40 yrs ive shopped at lots of Food Town stores big and small. This is a smaller location. That ssid, I was unimpressed. The produce was less than fresh. The gnats were ever present. The layout was not aesthetically pleasing. The cold/frozen sections had lights out in some of the freezers. Frost as if temperature control might be an issue. And the inside of the 2 or 3 sections I opened smelled terrible as well. Verry disappointed. Overall not very clean. I'm new to this area of town and I was excited when I saw the proximity of the store to my home. With the disappointment of the already listed things, I was not greeted at the register or given my total by cashier. She did however speak to the lady behind me while checking me out as well as the lady bagging my items. I would have loved to be privy to their conversation but again they did not include me.... I wouldnt have been able to participate anyway because I dnt HABLA ESPANOL.....which made me wonder if that why they were so rude. Will...
