A wonderful venue! My family has enjoyed our visits at the Jackson Theatre in the short time since its doors opened.

We attended a beautiful event to kick off its opening and were absolutely floored with the beautiful renovations to the building. From the seats, to the restrooms and concessions at the ground and second floors, no detail was missed.

We have also enjoyed the family-friendly movies we've attended (four so far!). My kids already have their favorite seats in the house picked out and love being in our hometown downtown. The concessions are well-stocked with bottled drinks, a wide variety of candy and popcorn. We really enjoy the option of purchasing a commemorative Jackson Theatre popcorn tin...refills are only $3!

What a incredible venue for Jonesborough! Right in the heart of downtown, this old movie theater was reborn beyond awesome. Comfortable seats, attentive personnel, great acoustics…and an ever-increasing variety of events. The bucket popcorn deal is great, and the plush surroundings remind you of a relaxed time long ago…a perfect match for Tennessee’s oldest town! A couple of hints…the seating is not crowded, and therefore somewhat limited. So, book your tickets on-line asap to avoid being disappointed. Also, the upstairs mezzanine can get warmish, so dress in layers. There’s plenty of parking close-by, especially around the back of the courthouse tower. Enjoy Jonesborough’s “old turned...
