Tennessee Tails Pet Boutique — Local services in Jonesborough

I found out about this shop on Facebook and I love helping local businesses over big chain stores anytime. I called and spoke with Ally, the manager as I had questions regarding some of the dog food brands they carry. She was so super insightful and explained in detail about each product and her recommendations based on her own personal experience with her pets. I was so happy and felt treated with the utmost respect as a customer, not just an inquiry. After speaking with her I went to their super user friendly website to place my order and it was so easy! I chose delivery as I’m not able to get out and shop like I used to. She kept me up to date on my order that I placed Saturday night and called me on Monday on Monday morning to let me know approximately what time my delivery would arrive. I’m definitely going to keep using this pet boutique for all of my dogs needs. If you’re looking for above and beyond service with knowledgeable staff and management, this is the place you want to go! I cannot recommend this place any higher than I feel it deserves and there just aren’t words to describe how much I love this place. My dog is loving her new food and Ally gave me some great ideas of how to switch the food around so that my Schnauzer doesn’t get bored eating the same thing all the time and so far myself and my dog greatly thank Tennessee Tails Pet Boutique in Jonesborough, Tn for making us happy customers and friends forever!! I am never supporting this business again. I have a shattered leg from a falling accident and have to get around in a wheelchair. Today was the FIRST day I felt confident enough to go out, and decided to try to shop for my dogs. First problem was the door. My dad has to open both doors and try to prevent the door from hitting me while I had to really push myself over the large door threshold. There were TWO workers that offered absolutely NO help for me and WATCHED us struggle. After that, I couldn't move around the store at all. Everything was incredibly narrow, I couldn't access over 70% of the store and once again, the store clerks watched my father and I struggle and didn't offer help for looking for anything or nothing. Unless you want to support a business that is inaccessible to most of the disabled population such a veterans, and is in violation of Americans with disabilities act, I would not recommend going to this store. The way it's set up, I couldn't even get to the checkout when other shops in downtown WERE accessible to me. This was a terrible, painful, and incredibly embarrassing, and...

Absolutely love this place! Our picky, plump little girl kitty adores the food they recommended and has lost on the weight management formula. These folks know their stuff!

Edited 5/19/2024 I probably wrote the review above about a year ago. We just took our kitty in for her annual exam. She's about 16 years old with a bad shoulder she's had for years so she no longer jumps (we have stairs for her everywhere she likes to sit). She also gets very little exercise as she's never been much on chasing toys or playing in general. The vet told us he couldn't believe how much muscle mass she has for her age since cats her age usually show muscle loss. It's gotta be the food recommended to us by Tennessee Tails. So happy...
