Wolfe Guitars is seriously the best experience I have ever had in any retail store. I am brand new to playing guitar, but not new to music. (I played saxophone for 8+ years). I decided to sell my saxophone and buy some guitars. In 1 month I purchased a Les Paul standard, and a Breedlove Pursuit Koa.

I had absolutely no idea what I was doing walking into Wolfe. I knew I wanted a "Set Up" but had no idea what to expect. First thing I heard when walking inside was "Hey there welcome in! Can we help you with anything?". This instantly helped calm my nerves. I replied to them and asked for Mike the luthier because my neighbor Frank recommended him to me! Mike came out and I showed him my guitars, and he said he'd take care of me.

Boy did he. I cannot stress this enough, Mike is seriously the BEST. The Breedlove had a hairline crack in the neck, and a small dent in the fretboard that I didn't see when purchasing the guitar used from a private party. Mike took care of me and it looks better than it would have brand new.

The Les Paul desperately needed a set up. Mike called me and told me that the frets were uneven and a PLEK would probably be worth it. I told him I would call him back after talking to the "lady boss". She gave me the A OK, so I called Mike back and told him to go ahead with the PLEK.

I then received a call saying that both guitars were ready! I was walking into the store expecting to pay $300+ for the work on both guitars. To my surprise they said that Mike did a scan of the guitar and said that it doesn't need a PLEK after all. I walked out of the store with both of my guitars looking and feeling the best they have ever felt for HALF the price I expected.

I firmly believe that any shop or luthier would've PLEK'd the guitar regardless of the scan results since I did give them the OK to go ahead with the PLEK.

Sadly this place isn't what it once was, it WAS a customer satisfaction driven company. In the past I bought three guitars off them and an amp. Recently my wife wanted her bass guitar rewired and I thought I would take it back to the Wolfe where I bought it and let them give it some love. We dropped the guitar off and told them what we wanted done, the young lady there said "It will be done by the end of the week" ... That was six weeks ago!!! The guitar was "Finished" last week and when we went to pick it up it my wife tried it out, the volume know was stiff and didn't want to turn and the tone knob really didn't work, even though the young man helping us swore up and down he could hear the difference (Minimal difference at best), he even turned the amp up louder so we could hear it wasn't working even louder.... Lmao!!! Quick side note, the guitar has all chrome hardware on it, the tech put a black switch in.. Real classy. So we left them with the guitar and came back the following week. Yes it works correctly now. The young man was apologetic about us having to drive down from Stuart twice because of their mistake, I asked if he could show us how apologetic Wolfe guitar is on the bill... After conferring with someone we were informed basically the bill has been written up so the price is the price... That is the last money they will ever...

For a long time I’ve been looking for my dream guitar that I’ve wanted since being a kid and I finally found it, but needed the bridge replaced for it to be a truly “quality” guitar ( Ibanez Edge III changed to Ibanez Original Edge ). I was asking around for a while to see if anyone would be willing to take on the work as it required some routing of the guitar body and I couldn’t find any shop that was able or willing to do it. Eventually I heard “Well, Wolfe Guitars will do it” and that they’ve been in business like 40 years and nobody hates them (which is an incredible feat). Mike took care of it with a super fast turn around time of like a week and a half and replaced the bridge, routed the wood where needed, and painted it to make it all look flawless, like the guitar came from the factory that way. I’m impressed and happy beyond words, for me at least this was achieving a life goal and Wolfe Guitars made it happen. Thank you especially to Mike.
