I was in the store around 2:00 pm on 9/12/2023. I came in to purchase a few birthday cards and a sympathy card. By the time I had selected three birthday cards, I was the only customer left in the store. When I got to the aisle with the sympathy cards, there were two employees doing what looked like either unpacking or an inventory of the contents of several large boxes that were mostly blocking the aisle and cards. I tried to see the cards by stepping closer to the boxes which meant I practically bumped into one of the employees. They totally ignored me until I quietly cleared my throat. At that point, one of the women asked if she was in my way. I replied that she was. She moved a little but was still within inches from me. In fact, she bumped into me without even saying excuse me. The aisle just isn’t wide enough for large boxes, two employees and customers. They were talking so loudly about the merchandise in the boxes that I could not concentrate to read the sentiments on the cards to make my choice. These employees never moved nor acknowledged me after one asked if she was in my way. I tried to look at the cards for at least 5 minutes thinking they would notice that I could not fully see the cards and that they were crowding the space. When that didn’t happen, I sighed, walked to the birthday card aisle and returned the birthday cards I had in my hand to purchase. I walked over to Target where I purchased 3 birthday cards and a sympathy card. I did have to pay a little more for the cards at Target, but the aisles were clear so I could peruse the cards, read them and make my selections. I do understand these employees at this Hallmark store have tasks to take care of during business hours. However, in my opinion, they could have stopped and moved away long enough to allow a customer time and space to look at and select cards. This attitude I saw today tells me they do not care about...
Read moreWish I could post a positive review. Simply do not understand explanation. Store manager would not honor online pricing of Willow Tree item from Hallmark website. Ok I'm fine with that. So I went outside store and ordered online with pick up at this store same day option. So 30 minutes later I picked up at this same store that would not honor online price. What should have been a pleasant shopping experience was made difficult. My wife has bought hundreds of dollars on Williw Tree at this Hallmark. I told her to shop online at Willow Tree next year.
