Very let down by this location, I love and have been eating from Tropical smoothie cafe since I started my weight loss journey about 3 months ago and every location I have been too had wonderful and exceptional customer service except for this one. This is the 3rd time I’ve been to this location and every time I go, it’s a bad experience. The workers are always rude and act as if they don’t wanna be there, they’re not really informative for customers who are new to eating healthier or who lacks knowledge of the restaurant itself. This last time I went, I was not so sure of which food item I had previously because I am new to flat breads, quesadillas etc, I’ve always ate junk/snack food. So i order me and my bf both a smoothie and 3 flat breads that I confused for quesadillas. Once I saw the worker making the item and it didn’t look familiar I stopped him immediately and apologized and acknowledged him about how clueless I was on the item I wanted (I was dying to get my bf to try them this was his first time there) and if he could remake one of the items and my bf would eat the ones he already made. He argued with me that it was nothing he could do, and that I could just order another item after spending $40. So we just decided to return everything, he never gave me a receipt and claimed and processed the return. I called back the next day where he told me that the refund would take 7 days. So I called back on the 7th day and asked to speak with a manager where she basically told me that she was informed of the situation that night but she’s gonna look into it??? What is there to look into if we paid and never took any product and then the return was never processed which means they stole from us. We are currently waiting on the manager and the owner to “look at the cameras” to make sure we didn’t leave with anything. I truly never went to a restaurant establishment where I felt belittled and discriminated against. Every time I have gone in spontaneously during the day it has been an okay experience, friendly and efficient staff; but today I ordered on the App for an ASAP in cafe pickup at 7:41AM but upon arrival the store was closed (lights off, door locked). I tried calling but no one answered the store phone-I have been trying for the last hour-and I can’t leave a message. I have photo and video evidence. I even waited about 15 minutes hoping someone would arrive, but that did not happen. I also can’t cancel my order on the App bc per the app “ASAP orders can’t be cancelled. I hate that now I have to follow up and inconvenience myself in order to try to get a refund. Why have an App where you can place orders in advance if the store is not going to be open?! Read moreGot a Mango Berry Cosmo Smoothie earlier today. I thought it was okay, just wasn’t blended very well with chunks of mango and ice. I was disappointed. I had only drank about 1/5 of my smoothie when I got hit with the taste of something incredibly bitter and rancid. I’m not sure what it was but it was horrible. My husband asked if he could have the rest since I didn’t want it. And within a couple of minutes he tasted the same thing and threw it out. We have no clue what it was but it was disgusting and we still can’t get all of the taste out of our mouths hours later. I had also ordered curbside, but they don’t actually have curbside pickup. When I walked into the store, I saw two teenage girls sitting on the counter where they prep food playing on their phones. This was my first time at the location.
