My experience tonight was horrible. From the moment that we sat down, and the waitress explained the process to people in our party that hadn’t been to the restaurant before, as if she was reading a script that she hated reciting.
My bill came to 264.00, which would have been perfectly fine if we’d received decent portions in a timely manner. The slices of meat that they were cutting were not satisfactory, and extremely small and they were very slow to come with more, when they did come, it was as if we weren’t paying for the meat that they were hoarding. When I’d ask for another piece, it was clear that it wasn’t appreciated. It was as if they were intentionally giving extremely small portions, and not asking every single person at our table if they wanted more. I, along with my daughter and her friend sat with practically empty plates waiting for more meat to come, the entire time. At one point, my daughter tried to get the waiters attention for more meat, the waiter literally ignored her. Oddly enough, they brought out plenty of pineapple, nonstop and were giving huge slices of it as well. It was the meat that they were trying to withhold. Initially, I wasn’t concerned about the extremely small portions of meat they were giving because I figured they'd come back around with more, like they did the first time that I went. In the time that I waited for a wait to come, to practically beg for more meat, my rice and beans had gotten cold. At one point, I was offered steak, but it was well done so I declined, and was told by the waiter that he’d be back with medium rare steak, he never came to my end of the table again. I wasn't asked one time if I wanted a refill, nor was my water refilled the entire time that I was there. My experience was terrible. I left hungry, and with a very large bill to pay with little to nothing to show for it. I won’t ever go back.
I’m not sure if they were being that way with the meat because of how large our entire party was, or if they just weren’t in the mood to provide food service, regardless of how expensive the food is there, but if they aren’t able to handle large parties without being rude, and stingy to paying customers, they shouldn’t host large parties. I repeat, I will...
Read moreWent there this past weekend to celebrate my mom's birthday. Debated between this place and Fogo at the Plaza. We'd never been there so we gave it a try. Made 6:45pm reservations for a party of 15. Got there at 6:45pm and were told to wait till the remaining 5 people arrived as they don't partially sit a group. Aside from all the other people waiting to be seated right by the door, we had to cram 10 of us as well. Def. not socially distanced! The remaining 5 people arrived at 6:50pm and we were told to just wait, by the host (I assume). Very unpleasant lady, clearly lacking customer services skills. When we asked if we cold be seated due to the whole party being there, she said no, your table isn't ready. Strange, given that we made reservations. We got seated about 7:05pm and left at about 10:40pm. Terrible experience. Would not recommend this place at all. Dress code on their website says "business casual", they make it a point to list that there, however, there were guests with basketball shorts and t shirts-- which is fine, but don't advertise something that you don't enforce. Food took forever!! Our server did what he could, gave us a free piece of cheesecake for the birthday girl, took off the 18% auto-gratuity that gets added to parties of 5 or more and gave us 10% off the entire bill. Despite that, we still waited for our drinks to be refilled, food came but no plates were available, and then we waited 30 mins for the bill as they were having "technical" difficulties. This was a waste of almost 4 hours to dine! We will not...
Read moreThe experience is straightforward, there is only a drinks menu. Each patron has unlimited access to the salad bar, hot bar and as much of the sliced meat as you want. The salad bar has several delicious items, including the ham wrapped asparagus, pico topped oysters and a few different medleys. The hot bar had, among other things, rice, cooked veggies, and probably the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever tried. The salad and hot bars accompany the main course of the meal, which is meat of several varieties that come to the table at your request. Servers carry them on skewers from table to table. You’ll have a wooden peg at your table with two colors on it, and you use that to indicate whether or not you want meat offered to you as they walk by. You’ll have plenty of chances with any cut or level of done-ness you want, including chicken, ribs, provolone infused slices of beef, and cooked pineapple. Everything was cooked and seasoned exceptionally well. Nothing was dry or salty, no sauce of any kind required. The mashed potatoes didn’t have or need gravy. The veggies and starches were all fresh. Service will arrive frequently at your table and the young staff were all very pleasant. The only thing that will keep you from coming back frequently is the price, as two people with 2 non-alcoholic drinks will have a check for $94 before gratuity. Personally, I feel that’s a lot no matter what, but it is hard to find food that is so simply cooked and yet so pleasing, while at the same time being all-you-can-eat. It’s a great place for a...
