Man.. I really wanted to like this place. It's location is great (right by Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, and post office). I went in the other day with my two kids to check it out and got two sugar cookies to take home for a treat. My oldest took a bite and immediately spit it back out (which NEVER happens), and sadly I did the same when I tried it. The icing/frosting was funky tasting. Later, a friend of mine told me that Eileens' uses almond extract and that's what gives it that weird taste. Maybe we'll try a non-frosted cookie next time, but we will definitely not be buying any more...

The icing tastes almost like a bad cherry flavoring and has a horrible aftertaste but underneath the cookie was good once I could taste it. I tried a second cookie and scraped all of the icing off and it had still just given it a nasty flavor So I threw the rest of the 10 cookies away. Read moreI can't say enough good stuff about Eileen's in KC north. First of all, cookies are always a good idea and theirs are delicious. My kids love to get cookie cakes for their birthdays and Eileen's is the go to place. That's what brought me in this time. Due to some recent changes in plans, I found myself needing a cookie cake on short notice. Normally I would order ahead but circumstances prevented that.
