I came to this location because I got such bad service at the one in Olathe. The glasses selection is still horrible, and I would not recommend for anyone to come here.
The woman helping me was nice for the most part, but she was obviously in training. Once it was time to check out, the person training her walked out of the store, and she was left alone. She did not know what she was doing, and was basically clicking buttons hoping they worked. I was getting concerned that this would impact my insurance by her making a mistake. She was very confused. She finally got to a screen that she did not know what else to do, and had to wait for someone to return. One of the women finally returned, and answered her question then walked away. Another woman entered and immediately started to make calls.
She was confused again so asked for the woman to help. The woman seemed agitated that she was being asked for help, and instead of coming over to show her she started to tell her what she needed to do. That is a horrific way of thinking someone could learn something. Especially in their outdated computer systems. The woman finally got out of the chair and walked over after realizing that she was not understanding, showed her a few things, then walked away again.
They need way better training, and trainers. If someone is in the process of learning, you don't just throw them in the fire and tell them to make water. It's now clear why both locations have such bad customer service.
The employees just stand around and do not offer to help until you have chosen something. They act like they are forced to speak, and counting down the time to leave for the day.
It also depends who you get. Not all of them are that way, but most of them that I have encountered at both locations had nasty attitudes. A couple were seemingly nice. I will not go back to any of the Target Optical locations.
Not only are the glasses overpriced, and limited, they are very flimsy. Be careful, or they will...
Read moreI have been in retail for 25 years..Still am. I'm a manager and the first thing I tell my associates is to treat customers fairly and to make sure they leave happy so they return. Your optical department dropped the ball on this customer service aspect in a big way this past Saturday. My husband brought his eye glasses in due to the anti-refelective coating coming off one of the lenses..All we wanted was to try and get that lense replaced..Well that didn't happen..He was told right off the bat that we should have purchased the "protection package". He tried several times to explain and show them the lense that it was happening to..But of course we were shown scratches ( which my husband admitted to) she didn't seem to care that one lense was ok but the protective coating( which we were told at the beginning we HAD to purchase) was coming off the other one. No help was given AT ALL..She just kept repeating about the protection package. We spent well over $400 and these glasses should not just be something disposable. We also got a second opinion from a Vision Works associate who saw the reflective coating coming off as soon as she looked at them. I understand policy and that you have to follow..But I also understand as a manager that you can go outside those policies within reason to keep a customer happy and well..To just keep that customer. Due to this , you just lost a...
Read moreI brought a pair of glasses from you guys with my insurance thru my job target back in the earlier stages of 2022. The first week I got the glasses they gave me headaches and more. I took them back to have the prescription check and the manager told me since it was my first time have a prescription on the top and one on the bottom it would take me time to adjust to them. I waited out for another month or 2 still with no change but headaches. This time the manager looked over my glasses and said the line was off and sent in for an adjusted lens. A week passed and the new lens were in. At this time management had changed and everything at the eye place. The new lens were placed in and I was still having the same issues with headaches and all. I spoke with the new manager and she told me there was nothing she could do for me due to the time lapse and that I was helped during a odd window which is new management and doctors. Still to this day I donât have glasses I can wear (cost 400 with insurance) because of the headaches. My vision is steady getting worst and yet this company refuses to give me another exam and replace my lens with the correct prescription. The store location Target Optical located inside Target at the WardParkway location in...
