Read moreI went to ulta a couple of weeks ago to buy some concealer. My friend was with me and we were looking around we were the only people in the store. We probably passed 4 different staff members/consultants and not one of the asked if we needed help. Trust me we did, probably had the dumbest look of confusion on our face. Finally when someone finally asked if we needed help probably 20min later. I had some concealer in my hand and the conversation went like this
Staff: is there anything I can help you find Me: yes, so I'm looking for some concelear but I don't really want to spend $25 on it. Do you have anything else is my price range. S: well, you should look at the drug store side
And she walked away.... Um, hello! She pretty much made me feel unwelcome and like trash for wanting a cheaper option. I would've spent $20 she could've shown me a different brand. Heck! She could've shown me where the concealer was located on the "drug store side." But no, she just walked away. This whole conversation I had with was ridiculous.
I went ahead and bought my concealer because I already had it in my hand (the first one I picked up) bought it and walked out. I will never go back to Ulta again, Sephora it is...
Read moreI just went to this location today and this was I think my second time going to this location. The first time was okay, but today was terrible. Before deciding to write this comment I wanted to look at other reviews to see if others had similar experiences to the one I had today. As soon as I walked in with my sister we were never once greeted or even helped, the one time someone asked if we found everything okay was as we were walking to the register. I knew the vibe was off in this store, but I chose to ignore it. Then after meeting with my sister since we split up she told me about how not only one but two employees kept watching her. The entire time we kept being stared at and followed. Once my sister did receive help she was "helped" very rudely. I don't know if it was because we were "under-dressed" or because we are Mexican. All the white customers were greeted nicely and helped. Looking at the reviews I see that only people of color are the people experiencing similar things my sister and I experienced today.
