The Beauty Spot — Local services in Kansas City

This beautiful place is right in the heart of KC right exactly where people need it to be! It's black owned and the customer service is very professional and people there really show they care! I have felt so welcomed by the people here and you can just tell that they really are grateful when people come in like they're happy to see you and thankful that you're there. Really makes you want to go back and their selection is so great too! I'm definitely coming back here for my hair needs because I have trouble with the health of my scalp and skin and hair and the people here really do help me find products that gives that tlc to damaged skin and damaged scalp. When my shampoo and conditioner runs out, I'm heading straight back here! Thank you so very much The Beauty Spot for opening and giving this community something we can really rely on for all our beauty needs! If a store could be somebody's best friend for their scalp and hair or other beauty products as well, this store really is it! Hahaha 😂 I love you so much and my scalp does too thank you...

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Beauty Spot Hair Store that I feel compelled to share. During my visit, I was wrongly accused of stealing—a serious and offensive accusation that was not only untrue but also handled in a completely unprofessional manner.

Rather than approaching the situation with discretion or respect, the staff created a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere, making me feel embarrassed and disrespected in front of other customers. There was no apology or acknowledgment once it became clear that I had done nothing wrong.

Good customer service is about treating people with dignity and professionalism, even in difficult situations. Unfortunately, Beauty Spot failed on both counts. I won’t be returning, and I cannot recommend this store to anyone looking for a respectful and welcoming...

Great Selection, but boy are you criminalized. I’m visiting family for the holidays, and stopped here to stock up on beauty supplies as I live in a rural part of the country with no such store. When I tell you this store has a great selection, they seriously do. However, my mom and I were followed around the entire store. We weren’t asked if we needed help, but the clerks just “lurked”. I suspect they have a lot of theft. There were also a few “shoppers” that always ended up on the same aisle, and I suspect they also worked there but pretended to be shoppers.

Paying customers shouldn’t feel like criminals - it makes for a distasteful experience. One star for the experience. Probably will stick to Amazon, and wouldn’t shop here if...
