Cheap but fun Kansas City with kids! ✅ 🎨Kaleidoscope is a FREE art-making space for kids of all ages to create using quality Hallmark materials. Make a reservation in advance, spaces are limited. @kaleidoscope_kc 🖼️Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is an absolute treasure in Kansas City with more than 40-thousand pieces of art and free admission. Pack lunches and enjoy the outdoor shuttlecocks at the Sculpture Park on the south lawn! @nelsonatkins 🍿The Extreme Screen movie theater at @unionstation features new movies for only $5 a ticket! They also show classics and past movies for $3.75 on occasion. 🖍️”Smaland” at IKEA is a free childcare room! You can check-in your (potty-trained) children to this playroom to do art, watch a movie, play with toys, and run around all while you shop. Or stop in the Cafe for Kids Eat Free Wednesdays at @ikeausa in Merriam! 🤿Little ones will love $2 toddler swim @lenexareccenter during “Splash With Me” on weekdays from 10-11:30 a.m. for children 5 and under. My brother and I were visiting Kansas and Missouri in November of 2023. On the evening that we landed, we managed to visit the Sculpture Park, having seen pictures of it on Wikipedia (and since we used to play badminton, it was a must-see). It was dark out, so there were things that we couldn't really see, but still, as it was Friday, we were able to enter and get a good look at several of the sculptures. The shuttlecocks are as impressive as the pictures show. It is free to go in, and since the park is open later on Friday, we went at around 6:30 PM (although I would recommend going during the day if your schedule allows it). We must've spent not more than 20 minutes there.

You should really check it out. It's clean, safe, and free! I went this time to visit with a friend for a bit. There were a couple of wedding parties and otherz doing the photo thing but so spacious nobody bothered or disturbed us. They have tables and benches or you can throw down a blanket and have a picnic or just chill in the nice open spaciousness. It also has some amazing artwork being adjacent to the...

Another one of these incredible facilities here in Kansas City. They just don't build them now like they used to. Huge Gardens, a huge Park, incredible sculptures, and everything is just built to a huge scale all the way down to the sidewalks and the stairways. It really is an incredible place to come visit, just to walk...
