Reefer frozen load. Arrived 3 hours before 0800 appointment. Directed to staging lot across street and told to come back and check in at 0730. That made me a bit nervous as trucks started lining up and I was afraid of being marked late if the line took me past 8. Turned out fine though. Checked in, got a door right away. Tandems back, leave doors closed and sealed they do everything from inside which is awesome. Someone comes outside to get the paperwork and they also bring it out when done. Unloaded and out by 0934 which is doubly amazing since I had some document issues. A special note about the young lady who works the guard gate. She was by herself, checking trucks in and out, working the gate arm, entering data in a computer, answering questions from drivers and she also had to handle a paperwork glitch in my situation. She was constantly multitasking and did it all with a pleasant demeanor and never got nasty or impatient like some people do toward drivers. I just want to say that was very much appreciated as I go out of my way to follow procedures and not cause problems at shippers or receivers, but a few are grouchy no matter how hard you try. They maybe don’t realize how many different procedures and directions we deal with every single delivery and pick up. A big thank you to her for being so efficient and making drivers feel welcome...
Read moreTerrible customer service! Called to 'become a customer'. Filled out an online registration form and received an email saying they would reply shortly. I called 3 days later and was told it would be 1-2 weeks before they would be in touch. I called 6 weeks later and left a message stating just that. Received a phone call back within 20 minutes. The gal emailed me a credit application that has to be filled out and snail mailed back to them before they would give me any price quotes on products. I asked how long that would take. You guessed it.... 1-2 more weeks after they received the credit application. Meanwhile she gave me an outrageous cash and carry price on a product I enquired about. Couldn't believe how expensive they were. I had done business with this company years ago and it was like pulling teeth to get product from them. The problem is with covid-19 my main supplier has had a hard time keeping product in stock so I needed to have a backup. Cash Wa is so aggravating to work with they are NOT worth the trouble. Found another company in Chicago, an 8 hour drive that is WAY CHEAPER than Cash Wa. So much cheaper I can make a long weekend and pay for the hotel room and gas for what Cash Wa charges. In some places we have visited before, they don’t even treat you as a human being. But here, the staff are different—especially a certain gentleman and a lady at the reception. The lady, with her kindness, beauty, and polite attitude, fills you with energy, motivation, and love for work. I truly wish her success.
There is a large and comfortable parking lot for trucks, called the “South Lot.” The reception area has a clean restroom available for drivers, and the dock has a spacious area for easy backup . Additionally, a true gentleman comes to your truck with respect and collects your paperwork, making the whole process smooth and convenient.
