I did the burger challenge. The first guy told us about it and completely lied about what the challenge was. He told us it was two sides 4 burgers and one shake of our choice. We then came in to do the challenge and come to find out it's 4 burgers 4 sides and the monster shake that comes in a fish bowl with a cookie and brownie in it. The burgers were great and the sides were good, except the fries, they weren't really cooked that well so they were soft and kinda mushy. I finished about 3/4 of everything, but couldn't finish the challenge in the hour given. The kitchen manager came out and said it was a blast to watch and that he had a shirt made up for me anyways. I would go back again for sure. Only complaint I have is, it costs $12-$15 for a burger... and no sides. I think if you're having to pay that much for a burger you should at least get fries with it.

I don’t live in Kearney, but almost every time that I drive through Kearney I stop here to eat. Angus is one of the best burger places in all of Nebraska and I’m honestly still hurt about the one in Omaha closing. Thank goodness the Kearney location is still alive and doing well, because there are very few places that when you read the menu everything sounds good and you have a hard time picking what you want like angus does. My favorite burger has to be the uncrustable burger, peanut butter, jelly, bacon, and cheese just taste so good in a burger. My favorite shake is the Elvis, it pairs well with a lot of their burgers. I highly recommend that if you are in Kearney you check this place out, their staff is great and their burgers are amazing.

Best Burger you’ll ever eat! This is one of my favorite restaurants by far. The staff is so friendly and the burgers are cooked to perfection and made from local beef. Don’t miss out on the amazing appetizers like Crab Rangoon fries or the Crispy Cauliflower. Pair your burger of choice (good luck choosing) with in house cut fries or even some sweet potato tots. Don’t forget to ask your server about specials, you don’t want to miss out on limited time items. Be sure to grab a shake too, you can even get them for on the go, strawberry is my go-to! Next time you’re hungry, support local and come with an empty belly! Pictured- Weekly Special, Nebraska Farmer with cheese sauce, The Jalapeño Popper

The food is good, I get the impossible burger and it's a nice treat! A treat because two burger with one side was around $30, absolutely worth it if the service didn't fall completely short! Placing the order was weird and the lady who took my order had NO customer service, not even thanking me for my business! When I got there I stood there for awhile while at least four free workers were standing around, it would have been so easy for them to acknowledge me and lead me to the bar, where carryouts were being taken care of. It wasn't busy but there was an obvious lack of communication as they were trying to give me an item that belonged to an order that had already taken off, I'm sure those customers weren't too thrilled when they received their food! Sat down at home to eat my food and it was good except the veggies were soggy and gross. One tiny piece of lettuce, two onions even though the second burger had a PILE of onion....WHYYY?? Anyways luckily I had my own fresh veggies to add to my burger to make it the perfect burger it should have been! This place is great if only they could get their staff to care!

There's this show call Mystery dinners which is about amazing restaurants that aren't doing as well as they should only because of their hourly employees that are ruining the business...kinda reminds me of that...

A Flavorful Feast at Angus Burgers & Shakes

My recent visit to Angus Burgers & Shakes in Kearney, Nebraska, was a delightful experience that's worth sharing. This place stands out with its impressive array of burger options. Each burger on the menu is thoughtfully crafted, offering a diverse range of flavors and toppings that cater to all tastes.

In addition to their burgers, Angus Burgers & Shakes offers a fantastic selection of shakes, perfect for those with a sweet tooth. They also have a respectable array of adult beverages, making it a great spot for both casual and slightly upscale dining experiences.

The atmosphere at Angus Burgers & Shakes was warm and welcoming, contributing positively to the overall dining experience. The service was commendable, with attentive and friendly staff that ensured a pleasant visit.

However, it's worth noting that the prices were a bit on the higher side. While the quality of the food and the overall experience somewhat justify the cost, a more moderate pricing would definitely encourage more frequent visits.

Overall, Angus Burgers & Shakes in Kearney offers a great dining experience with its wide selection of burgers, delightful shakes, and a decent selection of beverages. It's a place I'd recommend for a treat, especially if you're in the mood for a gourmet burger in a...

I came into this restaurant about 1:00 p.m. it was 90% empty the rude hostess girl had an attitude when I said I wanted to sit at a table in the front window to keep an eye on my high value cargo shipment that was parked outside she told me I couldn't sit at the table that seats eight because "they would need that for a party of eight".

I looked around the empty restaurant and said what are you talking about this place is empty? She responded with "well it fills up fast" with an attitude

I sat down at the table and got the healthier burger I could find on the menu with the avocado and the pico de gallo, the shredded lettuce was overdressed with the vinaigrette which dominated the entire burger and dripped all over the place. The beef was good is my best guess though I could hardly taste it over all the vinaigrette.

For a $16 burger with no side- this place could do a lot better, the burger should be superb for that price and it should come with a side and you should have someone at the front end with more common sense and better customer service skills.

In the time I ordered waited for my food ate my lunch and left not a single person walked into this restaurant, it sure does "fill up fast". I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, nor would I come back again.

Overpriced, bad service,...
