I've never had a bad experience here, spectrum's always taking good care of me. Excellent internet service, quality and all.
It is unfortunate that there is no way to talk to a real person other than going through their automated phone service, I've always found automated phone services to be frustrating and it absolutely makes me feel like they don't want to talk to a real person. Sometimes when I do get a real person rather than just admitting they don't know what they're doing or don't know how to help me, they will just transfer me to a random department but usually by the time I get to that person they set things right and get me talking to the right people. I think the worst time I ever had on the phone was when I got transferred to four different people before someone actually helped me though.
And I highly recommend anyone calling about their internet or phone service take down the name of who they're talking to and file an official complaint about anyone who acted like they knew what they were doing and didn't or on the rare occasion someone is rude. Spectrum takes their customer service very seriously and they will take action. There was even one point where I didn't have service for a week or so and they refunded a prorated amount based on what that amount of time was worth. I don't know if they still do that mind you.
They always have a good list of promotions available which can save you a lot of money in the beginning and just because your promotion finishes doesn't mean you're not eligible for a new promotion.

Read moreI finally disconnected service from Spectrum. I've been with them for several years. I looked into a wifi service and it was less than 50 per month. The large variety of streaming services offer everything you could want, and most are affordable and others free. My service with Spectrum on the Silver Plan came to $170 per month with no internet and only 1 receiver. I asked for a 2nd receiver install and they wanted a $65 service call to do so. They are lucky to have our business to begin with. The fees Spectrum attached to your bill include.. Broadcast TV surcharge...$23.20 per month Franchise Fee... $8.78 per month. Cable Receiver... rental $10.99 per month for each Receiver. I have never been happier I dropped Spectrum and went to a streaming service. There are so many channels and movies available it's unbelievable with the streaming options I have. All of this for half the price I paid per month with Spectrum and that includes wifi service. I have already recommended changing from Spectrum to many others and will continue to do so. Spectrum also raised my cost for the 2nd time in 1.5 years. We also lost some good channels, due to their dispute with Disney+, we received Disney+ in return... which few people want. I will never do business with this company again. It's greed gone wild. Read moreThe people who work for spectrum have almost always been very polite and friendly and professional. That is the best thing I can say about this company. Actually, it's the only nice thing I can say about this company. The training is terrible and apparently worthless. I spent almost nine hours on the phone over three days trying to fix a problem that they created. My father had to be without any service for three days due to the problem, and the best as I could get out of them was a $50 credit. Also, be aware, because I wasn't... You have to pay your bill ahead of time which is fine. But if you only use your services for a portion of that time, say 10 days out of 30, they will not credit you for the other 20 days. As I was told "It's a subscription service, so there is no refund."
Then, after I get everything straightened out and try to return the wrong equipment that they sent me, I take it into the store which is 40 miles from where we live. Only to be told that will this equipment shows on the computer it's already been returned. She was not able to process it. I told her I wanted a receipt to prove that it had been returned so they can't come back later and claim we've stolen their equipment. She had to actually write out a hand-written receipt. The computer would not allow it.
