Runza Restaurant is a hidden gem that deserves every one of its five stars. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, friendly atmosphere that reflects the heart of the Midwest. The staff is always courteous and quick to serve, creating a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back.
The highlight of the menu is, of course, the classic Runza sandwich. A delicious blend of seasoned ground beef, cabbage, and onions wrapped in fresh-baked bread – it’s truly one-of-a-kind. Whether you go for the original or one of the many tasty variations like the Swiss Mushroom or Cheddar Bacon, each bite is flavorful and satisfying. The ingredients are always fresh, and the bread is perfectly soft and golden.
Sides like the crinkle-cut fries and onion rings are crispy, hot, and well-seasoned, complementing the main dish perfectly. Their homemade ranch dressing is a must-try – creamy, flavorful, and the perfect dip for just about anything on the menu.
The menu also includes fresh salads, chicken sandwiches, and delicious desserts like warm cookies and shakes, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous, making it a great value.

Read moreI had a poor experience tonight. There was a gal that was mopping the floor, The caution signs were up. My daughter was in the process of going to get a refill of her pop and fell on the wet floor. The gal that was mopping was told that my daughter fell and she responded by saying, that it shouldn't be that wet and then continued to mop the floor. A couple customers went and told the gentleman behind the counter, that my daughter fell and he never left his post. It wasn't until a few minutes later that the manager finally came out way after the fact. He told us that he was in the back and was not Aware of the situation. I then responded and pointed to the gal that was mopping that she knew about it and she responded by saying that she was going to finish mopping and then go tell him. My daughter is lucky that her butt is the only thing sore. After leaving runza she said that she did hit her head a little but it was not sore. I don't know what would have happened if she would have really hit her head hard. I think that there needs to some education on what to do if there is an incident. As far as I know there was no incident report nor were there any names taken. Very...
Read moreRunza is one of those regional fast food chains that you can only find in a specific state whilst roaming an interstate highway.
Recently, I tried Runza for the first time whilst driving home from the Eastern United States Coast and was met with one in Kearney off of Interstate 80.
I ordered the Classic Runza Sandwich with Cheese and the Runza-exclusive Frings, both of which were indeed delicious and also heavy in that of flavor. The service for this specific establishment was amazing, and the cashier knew what to specifically do when it came to the ordering process and delivering our takeout order to us.
The atmosphere of this said location is also rustic, yet also very modern. In terms of the worker atmosphere, workers here are nice, yet relatively direct in the process as well.
Overall, I will indeed return to Runza in the future and will for certain be recommending this establishment to those looking for amazing...
