I would give this location negative stars if I could. We were there for a rental. How hard is that? First, let me say I LOVE the location we frequent in Beaverton on Canyon Road. The Keiser location; however, is worse than renting from Mr. Formal. We have had nothing but problems with service. I want to be clear: we were doing something unconventional and trying to fit an 11 year old girl who is a woman's size 6 into a slim fit tux for men. I am not complaining that there were issues with the fit. I completely understand that.
So, my sister takes her into the Keiser location and has her fitted. No problem. Tux shows up early. Awesome. So far so good. She went in Thursday to make sure it fit. The shirt fit, the vest was a bit big, as were the pants and the jacket was too small. Ok. I get that. So, the tell my sister it would be special ordered and they would get some different sizes and they would be in friday. The lady helping them said she would be in at 1:00 pm and everything should be there. My sister confirms and states she will be there at 1:30 after an appointment. Ok. No problem.....Here is where it goes downhill.
My sister shows up at 1:30 as discussed. The lady isn't there, nor did she fill in anyone to help in her place. Well, the replacement isn't there as well. She didn't order it correctly so it didn't come in. They said they would fix the order and would have the pieces in on Sunday. She called on Saturday to confirm and was told there was a mix up and the tux was put on the wrong truck and would be there Wednesday. Considering my niece was to leave town for my wedding that day, that wouldn't work.
The solution was to reorder the reorder of the reorder to be in on tuesday. Well.....it came in and the pants were better, the vest was better, the jacket was way too big, but the original jacket fit for some reason. So, they want to order another jacket to be in Thursday. She is gone. My sister was told repeatedly throughout this process that as long as they do the order by 3:30, they can have stuff the next day. Right. Sure.
She complained about the level of confusion and service to the manager. He was an ass. She was treated like she was stupid, there was no way to fit her and there was no way to reorder the jacket. Then, she was told they would shorten the sleeves for her and it would take about 20 minutes. My sister went to get lunch and coffee and came back 40 minutes later, thinking that would give them some extra time since they were already trying to rush. Yeah, the jacket had not even been taken to the back room for the taylor.
I complained to the store we usually shop at and they credited my sisters account. I got better service in 5 minutes of complaining about a rental from another location than my sister did throughout the process from the store she is paying money to! Our solution was to take what she had and have the next jacket shipped to Beaverton, where they know what they are doing. If it doesn't fit, then it doesn't fit. We will find another solution, but I expect more than this. This whole experience was ridiculous. If my father has the same issue,...
Read moreMy husband bought a two piece suit a few months ago. He wears it and two other combinations he already owns in his closet about 2 to 3 times a week. The pant leg stitching began to stretch apart when those amazing quads and calves bent to sit. You could see skin through the inseam. Then the pocket ripped on the outside seam. Went back to be told "things just break down" three months after you buy them. Because it didn't rip the stitching it ripped the fabric, the very diplomatic and patient head seamstress/manager suggested a patch for the pocket which was unacceptable to us. Offering several unnecessary ideas on alterations she finally offered replacing the pants. (If you get alterations to an area that you later have problems with they don't have to help you because it was your decision to agree to those alts. Thank goodness the waist and legs size wasn't altered after purchase or they wouldn't have been so helpful) We picked up his second pair of pants for this suit in three months. He went on line and discovered when he originally went in to look for a suit the sales men pulled a suit that wasn't part of their big and tall line. This suit is an altered Regular instead of a (horribly insulting line name) "Portly". It is a poor quality suit, poor quality sales people who know how to pass their mistake on smoothly to a manager to kinda fix it. Gave generous three stars for their other accessories. Will return for jeans, sweaters ect. His quads and calves found comfortable homes in Silver Jeans and Lucky Brand but not their suits. Go...
Read moreWhat a disaster. I went looking to buy a suit. After explaining to the employee who greeted me why I wanted one, he told me he "Wouldn't recommend a suit for that occasion" (???). He took my measurements for my pant size, and instead of finding me slacks like I asked, he offered me a pair of blue jeans (???) 5 sizes smaller than what he just measured me at 30 seconds before and says, "Do you want to try these on?".
Are you kidding me? Seriously?
He offered me no further help, but I suppose he did set the tone of the entire interaction when he opened up with "Well, my mom usually picks out my outfits and I don't really know anything about clothes, but I'm trying to learn." When you walk into a place with the reputation of Men's Wearhouse, one would think it would behoove the company to have employees actually able to help you find what you need rather than letting customers flail around on their own without any assistance.
Again, none of this is on the employee himself, who I know was trying to do his absolute best (given the fact that he apparently had no training or knowledge at all about what his job entailed), but it's an ENTIRE FAILURE on the part of the company itself and it guaranteed that I'll never again shop for anything with Men's Wearhouse. On the plus side I got myself fully set up at Kohls in arguably similar entire for no doubt hundreds of dollars less, so do with that knowledge...
