To whom it may concern,
I went shopping at Gabes today 6/18/25 and I bought kitchen runner on sale for $11.00, but the lady at registry charged me 2x that price. I gave her my phone# two times since I'm rewards member. I jad $5 coupon to use and didn't get that either. I came home and saw the charges on my receipt. Went back to Gabes and walked up to another registry and explained what happend, she took my receipt and refunded the extra $11 I was charged extra and she told me she can't help with points history or coupons thats something I have to get in contact with customer service. Not happy that I have to go thru that process since I don't live here in FL, so I don't want to waste my time on vacation calling customer service.
I would definetly advise anyone shopping here to double check your receipt and make sure your point are addedd to your rewards member account. I'm disatisfied with the customer service, the purchase and lack of help to consumers. Next time, I will not shop at Gabes because if they can't stand behind about their rewards program to their customers then I don't want to spend my money where there is no value. I should not have to go thru customer service for something that simple. The lady the charged me 2x for same price needs to pay more attention of how many customers she tries to scam on purchases. Also, she needs to be written up for pretending to use your phone number for rewards and no history of purchase made.
Anyways, everyone please double check your receipts so you are not double charged. Sometimes, things can be overlooked as purchaser, but those that are behind register should make sure that they don't overlook and make...
Read moreThis store would have gotten five stars until the very end of our shopping journey. I live in another state but was visiting due to my mother's passing. I went to this store two months ago when I went out with my great grandma to take our minds off things for a bit. We found nice blouses for really good prices. However, at the end of our trip, a group of teens entered the store and it reminded me back when I was in high school and my friends and I used to hang out at stores together to just browse. The teens looked like they just entered the store and the store manager immediately came by to threaten these kids that he would call the police if they didn't leave. They were only a little loud but not disturbing any one or the place. Even though I was in a state of grief, I was a little upset with how this manager handled talking to children. He got really close into one kid's face and I had to speak up, informing him he should not talk to children like that. Luckily, the kid managed to run out of the store following his friends. And because, I said something to the manager, he told me I should leave his store as well (when I was already leaving with bags in my hands) and assuming I was a child telling me to go back to my mom when I was out with my great grandmother. I am 26 years old and if that is how you treat paying customers as well? I do not think you should be...
Read moreIt's a decent store. Deals are usually really good. Too many clothes for my liking. Old Time Pottery had more home goods and that was what I always went looking for. I have been 3 times. I went first day, and attempted to use my welcome coupon. System was down. 2nd time, coupon worked but the original one had already expired so luckily, had another one in my app. 3rd time, coupon wouldn't work again and was told it was system wide. Cashier took total of coupon off an item to make up for it, but 2 out of 3 times the coupons didn't work, so they need to seriously work on that or what's the point of...
