TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Review for Lilly Pulitzer – 600 Front Street, Key West
I visited this store on Sunday with my husband and daughter, and from the moment we walked in, the associates looked at us with suspicion and said nothing—not even a simple “hello.” They just stared and kept glancing at each other as if we didn’t belong there. Despite feeling uncomfortable, I still made a purchase that day.
I returned the next day by myself to exchange one of the pieces that didn’t fit, and the experience was even worse. The associate I approached was dismissive and completely ignored me. When I asked another associate for a fitting room, she just pointed and said, “Whatever is empty, you can use.” When I went to make my exchange, I was met with a cold attitude and the first question was, “You do have a receipt, I assume?” — delivered with a look of disapproval.
I shop frequently at the Fort Lauderdale Lilly Pulitzer, which is my home store, and I’ve never experienced anything like this. The staff there are always warm, welcoming, and professional. Unfortunately, the Key West location made me feel unwelcome and judged from the moment I walked in.
Lilly Pulitzer is known for its cheerful brand and friendly atmosphere, but this store’s staff did not reflect that at all. I left feeling very uncomfortable and disappointed. I truly hope management takes notice and addresses the lack of basic courtesy and respect shown...
Read moreI am a very Loyal Lilly customer. Forgot my Elsa shirt st home when packing. Went to the key West store where I have shopped many times even during the remodel.
Found a Elsa shirt I do not have, I have no less then 40 at home, that would match my shorts. The only one they had in my size had series of small stains on the arm.
Needing the shirt for tonight, I Asked after waiting a good 15-20 min if they could discount the shirt for the stain.
Now mind you. I have been the CFO for a chain of surf shops for years. Very well versed in retail. Also after having a double mastectomy and reconatruction, I find the Elsa shirts fit me in a way that I do not feel self conscious of the way they look.
So after waiting the manager comes over and states sorry we do not have a discount button on the register. (I laughed)
Sorry you just missed out on a combined sale of almost $300. You could have said no and I would have found something else. But staying a rediculois thing like that. I can no longer shop here.
Palm Beach store found a stain on a shirt I was purchasing and discounted without even telling me until after.
It’s unfortunate you have forever lost a customer who shops there frequently as you could tell from having my profile open while...
Read moreI’ve read several reviews and have to say the customer service (lack there of) today was still an issue. I understand staffing is hard and hoping corporate will read this and make some changes or have additional training. There were two ladies who looked miserable and barely have any customer service. Luckily I was able to get a fitting room but after that, they never checked if I needed sizing and when I asked them a question about how the swim top unhooked, it was like I was bothering them from standing around. I usually make high purchases when I’m here but got out with only a few items due to their lack of customer service. They also never asked for my information to link my purchase to my account. When I wanted to pay in cash they made faces as if I was disrupting the world. I don’t need to be coddled but some type of genuine service would went a long way and I would have bought more. I hope people coming down here read this because it is not worth going into the store right now. Shop elsewhere. Please do better Lilly! Very...
