food gave three of us food poisoning over an hour wait bad quality meat, drinks and preparations (sauces) good atmosphere

With understanding the business is still new, our experience was anything but satisfying. Asthetically was very pleasant and comfortable but especially lacked in food. We came in at 1:45 on a Thursday and didn't recieve our food until 2:55. While waiting our waiter was trying to make jokes that came off very poor and annoying. Our sodas were very poor tasting, as if old or not properly stored. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich which instead of having a sauce instead had some concoction of oil and dry rub which not only wasn't spicy but made it so my sandwich basically was covered in olive oil. It made me cough and in which when I asked for a standard condiment of barbecue, they didn't even have it and the waiter brought out more of their spicy sauce. As soon as we left I had immediate stomach pains and had to rush to the bathroom due to food poisoning not even 5 minutes after eating. Two other people in my party experienced immediate stomach pain as well, resulting in one party member throwing up all night and the other spending the day in the bathroom. My party also complained of poor tasting burgers which led to them feeling ill, decent tasting lobster mac and cheese but led to them having food poisoning as well.

I stopped in around 5 o’clock on a Tuesday for their happy hour. I really love how open everything Is, nice layout. I ordered a cocktail suggested by the bartender and it was delightful! The hostess was great, from Ireland and she was so sweet. I ordered the conch tacos which was tough because their menu looked amazing! When the tacos came I was not impressed, while the conch was flavorful and perfectly fried the mango slaw was flavorless and surprisingly colorless. Between the yellow corn tortilla, the fried conch and the colorless d as law it was almost the same color. When I offered a suggestion to the bartender about maybe adding some diced tomato, creamy sauce, cilantro or maybe some other colorful veggie to liven up the plate the guy sitting next to me who was apparently the cook and the live entertainment (he had just gotten off the stage) did not take my suggestions very well! He seemed very upset. Nothing worse than a “chef” who is afraid of a little criticism. I gave 2 stars because the hostess and bartender were very nice and accommodating. I probably would not come back unless it was...

This place is great… it’s the Uber ride to it that needs to be heard in this review.

The true location of the Celtic Conch Public House is 528 Front Street, Key West, FL 33040. There were two addresses in the Uber map and I paid and was taken to an address that was incorrect. When I showed the driver the error and the correct address, HE clicked my app and activated another charge to the true address. I paid twice to go to the Celtic Conch. Until this gets corrected, I'll not use Uber. The Uber app was useless in understanding what I was trying to convey in the chat… it circled me back ONLY to Fix the Map… I re-explained: After I pulled the Uber app up to show the driver the map error and the correct place, he clicked the new charge and drove to the true location. What a rip off. Your "Help" for this issue only returns me to the Map Correction portion, not the "Here's a Refund." I am not happy about this. This is the second time l've had to report this Issue.

Update: Uber has never contacted me regarding this review. I recommend LYFT for your transport needs...
