I have visited the Kami teriyaki restaurant a few times, and I usually always get the same which is the beef short ribs and spicy chicken teriyaki, and accompanied by a stirfried rice rather than white rice. Today when I went in, they informed me that the short ribs had went up by four dollars in the last six months . I have always paid 12.95 for the beef short ribs and two dollars extra for a few peas and carrots stirred into the white rice. Today I was informed that the Ribs were now 17.95 which is the price I would pay to go to a full-service restaurant for a steak dinner. I was obviously upset and dismayed, and I expressed that I was very dismayed at their price increase over the last six months. But I went ahead and paid for everything anyway. When we received our order of short ribs and a spicy chicken teriyaki which came to the amount of $34, we found a very long black hair and my order of short ribs. Me and my son are both blonds, there is no way possible that hair could’ve entered that food unless someone purposely put it into our food. And it was obviously a woman’s long black hair the same woman that took the order hair enter our food, as there were no women cooks in the back . Shame shame on this woman shame shame on...
Read moreThis was my second time eating at Kami Teriyaki, my first experience was fine no problems at all. I got meals to go. Quality was good. A few days ago I went back to eat in at Kami Teriyaki and unfortunately didn't have a great experience. Everything was fine until my son was close to being done with his teriyaki plate. He went to take a bite of his rice and noticed a dead fly in it. Very disappointed with the workers there. I went up to let the person taking orders know and she thought I was handing her my plate so she kind of dismissed me telling me to leave my plate on the table. I told her I wasn't giving her the plate. I showed her the dead fly and she right away got defensive and said she doesn't know how it got in there because they put a lid on all of their rice. I said I don't know what happened but I thought you should know. She showed the cooks in the back of the restaurant and they all said I don't know what happened. She apologized but didn't sound sincere. She kind of just blew the whole thing off. Nothing was offered as far as new meal or a refund for our meal. I am very unhappy with the way they handled it. I will not be...
Read moreHappened to stop in this place when my regular Teriyaki place closed early. I will not be going back to this one as there was several disappointments.
Lady at the front counter was very nice but apparently had communication issues. I asked for spicy Katsu and she said no problem. I receive just normal Katsu. I asked if it was chicken breast and she nodded her head... I actually have no clue if it was white or dark meat. Also asked for no salad just rice but still got salad and some weird side soup that was not edible.
I ordered two spicy Katsu's and a side order of gyoza. Gyoza were nice and crispy but you could tell the meat quality was just so-so. I got 8 gyoza for $5 but barely any sauce to dip 1 of them... I am sorry but their food is not good enough to go sauceless and I was extremely displeased with the sauce issue. My spicy Katsu was not spicy and they did not put any sauce on them. Instead I got one small tub of sauce for two full portions of katsu. The meat quality was very questionable. Some pieces looked dark others white with chewy parts throughout. I had to bust out random sauce at home to...
