Overall, this is the way to go for doing a lot of things in the city, for a reasonable price. I'm only giving it 2 stars because of the fine print displayed didn't match or experience. This is what is displayed on the website: "A visit to your first attraction will activate the pass. Once activated, the pass will expire after 14 days. Depending on purchase, you will have 3 or 5 calendar days within the 14-day period and the days do not need to be consecutive."
What we experienced was far different for the 2 day pasd. We used our pass on the first attraction on 12/24, 12/26, 12/27 & 12/28 for different attractions, yet there were things left to do, but then tried using it again on the 28th and were told the pass expired. Called customer service and they verified the same thing.
My complain is, don't write "you will have 3 or 5 calendar days within the 14-day period and the days do not need to be consecutive." This comes across as very misleading. The only reason I bought this pass was it appeared we could spread the dates out to accommodate for my disabled father who doesn't walk well.
Overall, if you have the time and energy to bang these all out, it's worth it. If you intend to use these passes like I thought I could, you'll be...
Read moreBuyers be aware, this pass is good for only 30 days from the first use NOT one year as it claimed on the PASS itself. What more worrying is that the 30 day limit rule is only displayed on the purchase page between many other advantages to buy the pass that are so easy for buyers to miss. If you can use the pass within 30 days you really take advantage of the pass discount but if you only used portion of it as we did last year, the remaining passes will be voided and customer service rep will keep reminding you about that 30 days rule that is not shown on your actual pass after the purchase. So who gain the most if you did not use all the passes, we all know why the 30 days rule is not shown on your pass or blasting in your face during the purchase process. Buyer be aware. They are so serious about 30 days rule that we made an empty trip from Tampa to Orlando to use the last pass of our three parks pass. (Purchase order...
Read moreOverall fun, but more worthwhile if you have kids/are willing to drive Despite being an Orlando Explorer Pass, several activities were included for Tampa and other areas at a significant drive from Orlando. We weren't really willing to spend half a day driving, so we missed out on a lot of otherwise fun, water-based activities. Also, no kids...so things like LegoLand, despite being a great value, were not a draw for us. Instead, we went on a lake tour, visited the Kennedy Space Center, Orlando Eye etc. We had a lot of fun, but these were less "popular"(read: expensive) options--so while I know we broke even, not sure we got the full value of the pass. We had also hoped to do more evening events, like visiting the Titanic Museum or Ripley's, but traffic, dinner times, and lines everywhere cut down on our ability to do as much as we hoped. Still, worthwhile...even more so for those with kiddos or the resolve to...
