I recently visited Haverty's furniture store and had a mixed experience with both positive and negative aspects. On the positive side, I was greeted by an exceptionally talented salesman who provided outstanding assistance in selecting the best furniture pieces for my needs. The delivery process was also commendable, with the delivery personnel being amazing. However, my satisfaction was significantly dampened by the inconsistent shades of gray in the three-piece TV stand set I purchased. We looked online to check hours and decided to stop here first because they were listed to open an hour before the other local stores. We arrived a few minutes before the appointed time and there was someone there before us who discovered that the time listed online was incorrect. We went and spent an hour elsewhere and came back. When we entered the store we were greeted by a salesperson and I explained what we were looking for. They showed us one that was in stock for the style we wanted but it was not what we were looking for. They went on their computer to see what was available that might fit our needs. I gave them some approximate measurements and we did some looking around. They showed us their best option that met our expanded criteria and I did some measuring. After some discussion we decided to go with a sofa and loveseat with recliners built in. They had a color that was in our wheelhouse for both pieces and could deliver before Christmas. We sat down to work out financing and were approved on the spot. We were in and out of the store in under an hour and were happy with our choice. It was not a high pressure sale but it was efficient and the salesperson was very friendly and personable. Our original plan was to visit at least a few stores and then decide what to buy but this experience worked out great. In the future I would definitely consider shopping here first for our furniture needs. Within a week we got the call to arrange delivery and we were able to set it up to meet our needs. We had great communication from them the whole time and our delivery arrived in the appointed window of time. When they showed up they were both wearing masks and did their best to social distance from us. We also wore masks for their protection. I showed them where We wanted them and they brought both pieces in. The furniture was wrapped tightly with furniture pads and plastic wrap which they unwrapped and placed where they needed to be. I called on November 25th and was told it would be delivered December 25th but since that was a holiday it would be 3 days before or after. I had my sectional removed in preparation. On December 15th I called again because I had not heard anything and was told it would be the end on January by text. I was refunded the delivery fee on the 17th. I then received a phone call stating it would be delivered on January 12th. Arrived 45 minutes past the estimated delivery time with the back leg broken off in the frame. I immediately called the salesperson, she had no solution said she would check And call me back. She did not I had to call again and she stated she would have to call me back after she talked to her manager. Once again she did not. I called and her manager was out. I expressed my frustration and she had the district manager call. It is now January 19th and I am still waiting.
