After reading the other comments, I am no longer surprised. Jean, the manger who was working at customer service at the time I went in was very rude and abrasive. Not a smile, unpleasant, unfriendly, and the reason I will not be shopping at this location. More Detail: I came into Ross, read the signs for the return and went to that line at customer service. I waited along with other customers who had came in a few seconds behind me. We stood in the line while Jean, the manger, helped customers in the regular purchase line. The customer she assisted took a few minutes which was expected because they had many items. Once they were done, Jean, without looking up just yelled out "next customer" the gentlemen, confusingly looked at me, and back to Jean. She, for a second time yelled "Next!", and the gentlemen in the regular purchase line huringly went up to her register. After about 2 minute of helping this customer, she looks at myself and the other family behind and goes "If you want to make a return you're going to have to get in the regular line". The family and myself went to the regular purchase line talking between ourselves about how we went to the line with the sign that said "Return and Exchange". I watched Jean the rest of the time I waited for an open register. No smile, unpleasant. When it was my turn, I asked my cashier her name (she was not wearing a name tag) and title. I was in disbelief to find that she was the manager . Pleasantness, attention and correct direction would of definitely changed...
Read moreIn the past few years this location has declined in the quality of inventory and definitely customer service. Nevertheless, I still stop in from time to time. On my last visit I requested to speak to the manager to ask a question. She treated me as if I were her child and she was angry with me. I greeted her with a hello when she walked up and received a very stern "Yes!" I thought maybe she didn't hear me so I asked how she was, but the response was the same. I wanted to tell her how rude and even confrontational she came across, but decided not to - in order to avoid a verbal altercation. It helps me better understand why some of the employees don't speak or seem irritated when asked a question. Leadership starts at the top! Hopefully that will...
Read moreI always enjoy my purchases at Ross, great prices and lots of variety. The staff, at any Ross, is normally decent. Never super helpful, Never super trashy. Today, at the Knightdale, NC Ross. The cashier (young) broke the record. Super Trashy. Bad, bad attitude. Not my fault she's having a bad day or she hates her job. She scanned my item without saying a thing, didn't give me a bag for my purchase, and Honestly, without Exaggerating, threw the receipt on top of the item. My husband and I looked at her like "B!+c# What?". But I have more class and respect that what she was though from her momma. So Girl. If you hate your job, go to school to do something you like, because that attitude is not taking you anywhere.... Ross, please screen you...
